Summer is almost here and finally we are heating things up here in the north east. Matter of fact, we have been seeing our temps climb into the 80’s already with some nasty humidity to go along with it.
My family wears sunscreen all year round when we are spending any amount of time outdoors. We use certain ones for our face, others for our bodies and if we are going to be in the water, we definitely use one made for water activities.
Recently I was sent 2 different sunscreen products to try out for all of you and each one is very different than the other. My family has been trying out both of them and frankly…we love them both!
The first one is Australian Gold Sheer Coverage Continuous Spray Sunscreen with an SPF 15. It is an exotic blend sunscreen with Invisidry Technology, an oil-free formula, water resistant for 80 minutes and comes in a spray can which I love!!!
Some days I don’t need a high SPF and don’t have time to mess with messy creams. This sunscreen is perfect for those types of days! One of the things I love about this one is that it dries very quickly and leaves no greasy/oily film behind. It feels really light and airy on your skin plus it didn’t attract any nasty bugs!
The Aubrey Organics Natural Sun Broad Spectrum Sunscreen with an SPF 30 is a fabulous choice for those of you who want to use organic and natural products. It is a mineral based sunscreen that offers antioxidant protection and is water resistant up to 40 minutes.
It comes in a squeeze tube and has a yummy tropical scent to it which really smells good! It contains zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, organic shea butter and moringa oleifera which is an intensive moisturizer that improves skin texture. I don’t know about all of you, but my skin gets very dry from being outside in the sun.
Now this sunscreen I love too because it is natural & organic. I feel completely comfortable on using this one on every member of my family, including the 5 year old grand daughter. Furthermore, if we are going to be in the swimming pool, by the lake or on the beach, I want a higher SPF sunscreen and this one fits the bill perfectly!!!
Overall, I love both of these products for different reasons & different uses. Both would be great choices to use this summer while you and your family are outside enjoying summertime activities.

It’s good that you are so dedicated to wearing sunscreen. It really should be a part of everyone’s routine because sun danger isn’t something to mess with. I’m glad you talked about a spray. I’d love to try it since it is oil free and SPF 15. Trying to get my husband to wear sunscreen is as bad as kids. We’ve found that we can spray him down though as long as he doesn’t feel too greasy. This would be good to try.
I would like to keep an eye out for Aubrey Organics – this is the first I’ve heard of it, but it sounds excellent! I try to use at least 30 SPF if I’m going to use sunscreen.
I have Lupus so I absolutely must use sunscreen every single day of the year. I use a much higher SPF and haven’t used these brands, but I do use both a spray and a cream for the same reasons. I’ll keep my eyes open for these next time I need some.
Using sunscreen is one of the few things we can really do to slow the signs of aging! I love using products that are natural and organic!
I agree with you about both these sunscreens. One for when you are not outside a lot and a spray on is great. The other is for longer coverage and I love that it is natural and organic.
