I took my son to get his senior portraits done last night. My friend is a professional photographer and agreed to do them for us. Not far from where we live there is a recreation area with a lovely lake so I chose that as our spot. We were there for 2 hours and they took hundreds of shots. The ones that I got to see last night were amazing. I am so excited!
My kid is not fond of having his picture taken. I don’t know many people that are, really. Since I did not get any pictures throughout his high school years, I demanded that we do special senior portraits. That is a long time to not have any updated pictures, other than a few casual ones here and there.
Are you good at keeping your family pictures updated? I am really quite bad at it. I do not think we have a family picture at all and very few of myself and my hubby. I need to change that!
I used to be much better at having family portraits updated. I had high school photos, college photos, Christmas photos and was given wedding photos. I need to update photos of my husband and me.
I got one of the pictures last night that he posted on Facebook. I love it – son hates it LOL. These are going to be great! Excited!
I used to be way more into taking pictures and having family portraits done but have really slipped the past several years. I need to get back into it because I love having pictures around the house.

My friend is great about taking pictures of her grand kids. She makes scrapbooks for each of them. No kids for me but I have some great pictures from my trips.
I want to keep them updated; I plan on it, but time just slips away it seems. Even informal get together family photos are often pushed off until the last minute when we are all leaving or in a rush. I hate it. My daughter loves photography and is an amateur photographer. Any event or family vacation she goes on, I know we will have photos of everyone so that is our main way of keeping updated – although none of her. With her recent sickness, she hasn’t wanted photos, but they are too important. I recently decided we were having a professional portrait made, and I am so glad we did. It really helped us get back in touch with friends and family we haven’t heard from in awhile when they received a card with our photo. Not to mention the memories and importance it will have to us in the future. I’m glad you made sure to keep professional photos of your son. Maybe even a family photo soon…
Time sure does fly and I will enjoy every second of his picture! Yes,I think a family photo is going to be next!
