Spice Lovers Will Love Wickles Pickles & Spicy Relishes
With Easter Sunday coming up, it reminds me of my family traditions for Easter. When I was very young, my family would go all out for dinner. Ham, turkey, even tamales were on the menu since the extended family would be there, so there was a lot of people to feed! California can have some beautiful spring days! So within the last few years, my family has changed the tradition into going to the nearby lake for a picnic instead. It was great fun to begin this new tradition, and easy, but very tasty. We would have burgers, hotdogs, tacos, burritos, and more. With them, the necessary condiments: pickles, jalapeños, relish and more. I thought it was a special fit for this week that I received some items from Wickles Pickles!
I was sent four jars of some wicked stuff from Wickles Pickles. I received their Wickles Wicked Pickle Chips, Wicked Relish, Hoagie + Sub Sandwich Relish, and some Wicked Jalapeño Slices. So I had a reason to get a jump start on an early Easter picnic!
Pickles are my favorite, so I had to use the wicked pickle chips first! They were SO delicious on my burgers. They were not extremely spicy, and had just the right amount of kick. On some of my burgers, for the brave souls, I put the J slices. Using those, they give the fiery-but-oh-so-good burn that was just what the burger was missing! If you can handle them, or THINK you can handle them, I definitely recommend these to compliment your burgers, sandwiches, tacos, nachos, and so much more! You can add these J slices to almost anything.
When it’s time for a tailgate/barbecue/picnic, the event isn’t complete with just the burgers! I grilled some hotdogs as well. I used the spicy relishes for the hotdogs. There was the Wicked Relish, which was delicious, but not too ‘muy caliente’.
The red relish was slightly sweet, a little salty, but very good. It was just a smidge spicier than the green relish. I interchanged the relishes up on the hotdogs to give the family some variety. The red relish was fantastic and would go great on subs, sandwiches, and my mom even suggested to mix up some of our Mexican recipes with it. Most of my family members favored the red relish the most, but everyone really liked it all four jars.
My family and I loved getting to review Wickles spicy products. They were amazing to try and experiment on what food they go well with. I enjoyed how these items had such variety to them and such great taste. My taste buds loved the crackle of heat from the different food. I can’t wait to do this again for Easter Sunday.
