Rishi Tea Organic and Fair Trade Teas

Rishi Tea Organic and Fair Trade Teas
I grew up loving tea. My mother enjoyed it in the afternoons and often we would sit and sip tea while watching a show on TV or reading. I have also traveled a lot in my younger years to far away places like Ceylon (Sri Lanka) and got to go directly to the tea fields. Ceylon tea is one of my favorites to enjoy. I love experiencing new flavors of teas crafted by the amazing tea makers from all over the world. Today I would love to introduce you to a company that offers organic and fair trade teas.

Rishi Tea is a US company that has made it their life’s passion to bring over 200 different teas to us from all over the world. Their selection is rich and varied with teas I have never heard of and all of the classic teas we love too. You can find so many interesting flavor blends that will have you sipping amazing tea as often as you can.

I was sent 4 different teas to try out. I am a black tea lover as well as a Oolong tea lover so I was pleased to find those in my shipment. There is a Tumeric Ginger, Earl Grey, Green Tea Mint and a Four Season Spring Loose Leaf.

The Spring tea was very interesting to me so I had to give that one a try first. The tea is very light and floral with beautiful flavors of Spring. This tea is from Taiwan and offers the aromas of fresh-cut gardenia, freesia blossoms and tropical fruits. I like that this tea is full of buds that open up while steeping, not broken and cut pieces of stems. Very satisfying!

I also tried out the Tumeric and Ginger tea. This was intriguing to me. I would think that this blend would have some medicinal purpose and reading the tasting notes, it is based on a cough and cold blend that features soothing licorice root, spicy ginger, sweet orange zest and lemongrass. The taste is a bit citrus spice and it is not heavy or over powering. This would taste good when you are feeling under the weather.

Mint and Earl Grey are two of my favorite teas and these did not disappoint. I love the new Rishi Novel Knit Tea Bag that are organic, all natural, non GMO, and biodegradable. You get a beautiful, pure cup of tea that is loaded with the flavor of the tea and nothing else.

I was very pleased with the wonderful tea blends that I was sent to try. The Rishi Tea products are everything I look for in a gourmet tea and more. The selection is fantastic and you can put together a wonderful collection of teas and tea accessories for a Mother’s Day gift easily. Or check out their gift boxes already on the site. I love the awesome Single Tea Pot and Ice Tea Pot they have. Oh, I need to get one of each of those! That is a must have for this tea lover!

I usually prefer Iced tea (hey, I’m a Southern girl, lol)–but these sound really good. I need to try it.

I am a tea lover as well, particularly Green Tea. However, I am always a sucker for unusual blends and anything with ginger so the Turmeric and Ginger tea sounds awesome. I’ll have to give it a try. And with the great tea bags they have (biodegradable – yeah!) I can feel OK about using bags and not just loose-leaf.

I would love to try these teas. I drink tea every single day and love hot tea and ice tea. I stopped drinking coffee years ago because it really upset my stomach but tea does not.

These sound like wonderful teas. I drink iced tea all day , but try different teas from time to time. I am glad that the Turmeric tea is not overpowering. I think I would love the Spring variety.
