Mrs. Fields Fill N Flip Locking Layer Cake Set

Special occasions call for special desserts and I have an cool review for just the kitchen tool that will halp you create a very special dessert. I was asked to review this new product from the folks at Love Cooking Co and their Mrs. Fields line of fun bakeware and kitchen products. I think you are going to like this!

Mrs. Fields Fill N Flip™ Locking Layer Cake Set features a set of two round cakes pans. It has unique cut outs in the pan so when you fill both pans with batter, it creates two cakes that allows for the center area to be filled with your favorite filling – like puddings, creme, fruits, etc. You simply fill one side with the filling then flip the other cake over on top to lock in the filling. No blowouts and it is so much easier to frost and decorate!

We made a white cake with lemon filling and it was so easy to do and fast too! Because these are dark pans, you have to watch the bake time. Mine got a tad over done in one area, but it worked out well. Plus in hindsight, it is easier to fill the smaller cut out and use the larger for the “lid”. Again, ours worked out well as the filling helped to seal the cake. Check out the results in the pictures.
