Fellowes AeraMax Air Purifier Helps Rid Your Home of Allergens
Allergy season will be kicking into high gear here on the East coast. Every year my husband and I suffer terribly with allergies to grass, pollen and other allergens that get into our home. During this season of the year, I do my best to keep my home very clean and to cut down on the allergens we are exposed to.
This season I have a new air purifier to help me clean up the air we breathe and to reduce those nasty allergens in our home. The Fellowes AeraMax DX55 Air Purifier offers protection with a True HEPA filter (only True HEPA filters can safely remove 99.97 percent of airborne particles), independent certifications and state of the art technology.
This one AeraMax Air Purifier will cover a medium sized room up to 195 square feet so we placed it in our family room which is the room we spend the most time in. The AeraSmart™ Sensor monitors the air quality and automatically adjusts the fan speed to keep your air purified, which means I don’t have to babysit the unit or adjust it once it has been set.
It features a True HEPA filter with AeraSafe™ antimicrobial treatment that safely removes 99.97% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns, including pollen, ragweed and other allergens, viruses, germs, dust mites, mold spores, pet dander and cigarette smoke. Wow, it covers a lot!
It is extremely effective at capturing influenza virus from indoor air (based on independent testing) and here on the east coast, that is one nasty virus that tends to hit my household every cold & flu season. The carbon filter removes odors and captures large airborne particulates which helps your air to smell clean and fresh.
It is certified asthma & allergy friendly™ by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America and features ultra quiet operation. Seriously, we NEVER hear it running and I really appreciate that since I am “noise” sensitive. The fan speed indicator lets you manually adjust the fan speed setting – low, medium, high or turbo, depending on your individual preference.

We received our Fellowes AeraMax DX55 Air Purifier 2 weeks ago and set it up immediately after it arrived. Everything is explained nicely in the booklet to help you get started, nothing complicated at all.
One of the things I really love about this unit is it’s slim size (profile) so it can go into any room into your home and not stick out like a sore thumb. Second, it is really easy to operate and to understand. Even someone who is technically challenged (like me) can set this up and immediately get it rolling. Next, I love that it is whisper quiet! I plugged it in and forgot all about it in the room because it makes absolutely no noise!
Over the past 2 weeks I have noticed many changes here in our home. First, I used to dust at least 3 times a week and now I only do it once a week. I am seeing a lot less dust and stuff floating around in our air. Second, when I walk into our family room the air smells fresh & clean, no more funky odors from having the windows closed up. Third, my eyes are not watering any more, my throat isn’t dry & scratchy any more and finally…I cut down my usage of allergy medications by at least 70% over the past 2 weeks! Yay!
Now, I am no expert and I am not making any medical claims. I am just sharing with all of you my personal experience with this product. Your experience may differ but I can honestly say…I LOVE this Fellowes AeraMax Air Purifier! Oh my gosh, how did I ever live without it? Thank goodness, I don’t have to live without it any more! I am now ready for the full allergy season to hit and I know I will have protection to fight back! Yay!
