Dealing with Taxes

April 7, 2014 by Classystaff

Dealing with Taxes http://www.freeimages.com/photo/90360
Taxes! Ugh! The dreaded 5 letter word that every one is dealing with right now. I have been finishing mine up and getting them to my tax lady. I really hate dealing with them, but hubby likes to claim ignorance and has no clue on what to do. Thankfully, I have been doing them since I first started working back in the stone ages, so it is an issue I know how to deal with. I just don’t like to since mine are always complicated. But I do have a system down and even my tax lady is happy when I show up. I make it easy for her and me!

Do you deal with the taxes in your household or your spouse? Do you do them yourself or use a professional? I have to use a professional. I am so thankful I have the lady I do. She has saved me money and frustration so many times! Cannot live without her!

I gather all the documents together and we then go to the tax professional. I would be too nervous to do them on my own and my husband doesn’t want the bother. Thankfully we are finished because we always try to get them done in March before the real rush occurs.

Lucky Sue! I so wanted that Ambi – so I will buy one, now. As for taxes, I am a former CFO so yes indeed I do my own, as well as my step-daughters’, their spouses’, my husband’s best friend’s…I am a saint! And they were alll done and filed by the 25th of March.

We do our own taxes but that will change if we get our business off the ground and make enough money to justify a tax professional.

I think it is so worth the money to have someone do it as a business owner. There are so many forms and schedules that need to be attached. Too confusing for me and not worth the stress of making sure it is done right!

Oy, taxes. My spouse does our taxes, since he’s the only one with an income these days. For some reason I cannot comprehend, he always waits until the last possible minute, and my anxiety mounts every day between the end of January when the W-2 arrives until April 15, when they’re finally done. Like I said: Oy.

I usually do my own taxes but if something unual occured within the year I may take them to someone to have them done. I can’t believe people do that for a living it was drive me crazy. Congratulations to the winners.

It’s a joint effort in our house; although, this year I wondered if they were ever going to get done. My part is the keeping, organizing, finding, and mailing. I get all the paperwork and forms together, clear my husband off a good amount of work room, and leave a calculator and sharpened pencils out. Then, I practically drag him to the spot to do them. 🙂 we live in one state which I work in, but he works in another so that adds to our filing experience. Good luck to us all on getting them done and in. Hope everyone enjoys the Easter candy sales going on now…chocolate does help the experience some. 🙂

Thankfully, my boyfriend deals with all things financial including taxes. However, I am always in charge of filing and ultimately finding everything so I still play a minor role in the process.
He works as a bartender so there are tips involved that make it somewhat complicated. He did do the taxes himself amf got everything finished yesterday, yay 🙂

I do my own taxes, but I do not like having to deal with it every year! It is a lot of work and I am so glad when it is over!!
