The Walking Dead – Monday Chat

March 10, 2014 by Shelly

crocusflowersGood morning everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! We got outside and had some fun on Saturday (shopping and then hosted a backyard barbecue) and on Sunday we had lunch out and then worked on the remodeling projects we have going on in my new laundry room. Busy weekend! Did you do anything fun or exciting?

Today’s Topic: As you all know…hubby and I are HUGE fans of The Walking Dead and watch it faithfully every Sunday night. I know some of my blog readers are fans too. For fans, did you watch last night’s episode? Holy cows…it was intense! Frankly, I don’t like Beth and Daryl together for any reason, I want to see Daryl with Carol. With that said, it looks like Beth might of been kidnapped! OMG, I wonder who got her and what is going to happen to her? That fight scene with Daryl and the Zombies in the funeral home was super intense, I was on the edge of my seat for that one! What did you think of last night’s episode? I would love to hear your thoughts!!!

Last night we had a few giveaways close and we do have a few winners to announce this morning. After validating entries, Random.org is used to randomly select our winners. All winners are notified via email and have 48 hours to respond to our email or a new winner will be selected. We will NOT hunt you down and chase you around. It is your job to check your email!!!

Winner Strawberry Shortcake DVD: Sherry Compton
Winner Kohl’s Spring Clothing Package: Shanna Elizabeth

Congratulations to both lucky winners! Emails will be sent shortly so you can claim your prizes. Have a great Monday and see you all tomorrow!

We are huge Walking Dead fans here. I can’t believe there are only 3 episodes left in this season. It just started back! And none of the groups of survivors have found each other yet….. 3 episodes just isn’t enough time to do all I want them to do ๐Ÿ™‚

Welcome Alyssa! I love The Walking Dead! It is my fav show on TV. In addition, hubby and I are both huge ZOMBIE fans! We own over 50+ zombie DVDs in our collection. Are you a fan of the Resident Evil series? We love it!

That’s how I feel and I hated it when they had that comedian on the previous show. Sure he was funny, but I wanted to hear what the actual characters had to say. They need to step it up and get people who are into the series and not just seeing the episode for the first time and trying to discuss it.

I too hate it when they bring on comedians. WTH cares? Bring on the producers, directors, actors and fans. We don’t give a “dead” rat’s ass about those comedians. blah!!! I was totally shocked when Hershel bit the dust. I didn’t see that coming at all and was flabbergasted when I saw that!!! One of my fav episodes was from last season when Meryl died and came back as a walker…then Daryl had to finish off his own brother! Jeepers! I love these crazy story lines!!!!

Oh man Hershel Dying was a sad episodeโ€ฆI cried! I think if anything they do a great job of always keeping you on your toes. Merle was a bit overdue. Though I really had hope he would make amends with the group and be forgiven. If you add me on Facebook I always post the code words for the Season 5 premiere sweepstakes they have going on! Not sure if you have been entering that one or not.

I’m tired just hearing about your weekend–LOL! I cooked, we went grocery shopping, and had lunch out on Sunday. That’s about it. I can’t even think about barbecue yet, and in fact, we’re supposed to get clobbered with snow again later in the week.

I haven’t watched The Walking Dead at all. One of these days, I’ll probably binge-watch it, but that will likely happen when my spouse is away on a business trip. Your reaction to the last episode is a great endorsement!

    Congratulations to the 2 winners.
I am glad that you had a fun weekend . We just stayed inside and relaxed.
I am not a Walking Dead fan, but I can say that I hate to be left up in the air and not know what happened to someone. A Cliffhanger drives me nuts especially when it is the final show of a season

Had a quiet weekend – it is still way too cold to have an outdoor barbecue or anything outside! WoW – what a productive and fun weekend!

I am glad that you were able to get so much stuff done this weekend.I do not watch the walking dead but my son really likes this show. I do not know what that show is about, but since you say it is a good show, I am interested in seeing what it is all about. I know that I like watching the Voice which is on tonight!

I LOVE The Walking Dead. Time stops when it is on- dont even try talking to me ๐Ÿ™‚ I am wondering where Beth is. I dont like not knowing for a week. I am not real comfy with her and Darryl but am glad she reminds him there is good in the world.
I am afraid Darryl has gotten into a situation that isnt good at all and am wondering if Rick and his band have reached Terminus.

      Ellen,

I was wondering that too! My favorites on the show are: Rick, Carl, Daryl and Carol.

I think right now in this world Daryl and Beth need each other to survive. He needs her innocence and kind heart and she needs to learn survival skills like tracking and hunting. I won’t give any spoilers away in case someone hasn’t seen the current episode, but I have a feeling they will be good for one another ultimately till the end.

our cable had issues yesterday – maybe daylight savings time related? Anyway the cable guide info did not load. thus the DVR failed to record anything as their was no schedule to bank off of. You couldn’t even manually tell it to record so decisions had to be made. We watched the AMC finale of True detective … and now I wait for Walking Dead show to pop up On Demand

After you watch it Betty…come back and tell me what you thought! It was the most intense episode since the mid-season finale when Herschel bit the dust.
