The Hereford Inlet and Atlantic Ocean in New Jersey

The Hereford Inlet and Atlantic Ocean in New JerseyOne of the things I love about the Jersey Shore is the gorgeous views we get of the Atlantic Ocean from our beach house in North Wildwood. Our beautiful condo is right on the northern tip of the island, called Hereford Inlet. We are only a few blocks from the famous Hereford Lighthouse.

From our balcony we get to see gorgeous views of the ocean, beach and from time-to-time we even see dolphins out there swimming from our windows! The last time we were down, I was standing up on the sea wall and shot the photo that you see in my post today. I love how blue the water looked on that day and I love hearing it smack up against the rocks.

We like to sit out there and watch all of the shore birds suntan themselves over there on that little tiny island that sits between the Atlantic Ocean and the inlet. The photo was shot during low tide so during the high tide you see even less of the little strip of sand (island).

We are looking forward to going back down to our beach house next month when we will be celebrating our 29th wedding anniversary. Hubby has some special things planned for us!
