The Family’s TP Habits

March 14, 2014 by Shelly

crocusflowersGood morning! TGIF! Got any fun and exciting plans for the weekend? I am off today (yeah, drawing winners but that is it) and tried to sleep in. I am way too used to getting up at 6am so it is hard for me to force myself to sleep in. Hubby was off but had to go into the office this morning because they had an emergency there last evening that he has to attend to this morning. Hopefully he will be back in a few hours so we can start our 3-day weekend.

Today’s Question: When it comes to toilet paper, do you prefer it to roll over or roll under on your spindle? Do you have a preference? Is there a wrong way or a right way? Do you have any preferences on the type of TP that you use?

Personally, this is something I am very picky about. I like our’s to roll under, I like it very soft and quilted. I don’t buy cheapo stuff that feels like paper towels if you know what I mean! In addition, hubbs will use the last piece and rarely puts on a new roll, that always “irks” me!

Somehow I didn’t comment on this post. A belated congratulations to the 3 winners.
Although I don’t think that there is a wrong or right way to place toilet paper, I prefer to roll it under. It just seems to me that it is easier to tear off the sheets in this position. I prefer Scott toilet tissue and I don’t like it too soft.

I have to have it roll over. I can say that there is really bad toilet paper that is rough at a store that I shopped at. There was a really good deal and I got cash back, but the toilet paper is so terrible and rough! I must have nice soft toilet paper!

    Congrats to the winners!
I’ve always been an over person except when I had a cat that liked to unroll it, then it was under. Now it’s back to over and I can never blame someone for not replacing the roll since I live alone. I like the Costco brand: soft, two-ply and good price.

Congratulations to the other winners. I am just thrilled to have won the cooler bag from the wagon store I sure could use it. I LOVE your blog soooooo much. I enjoy coming to it every single day and reading your great reviews and posts and entering your great giveaways. We are an over the roll house when it comes to toilet paper. I too like a super soft quilted tp and hate the cheap stuff. We really like the stuff we get at Costco. Oh and it makes me nuts when the last person does not replace the roll LOL. Have a super weekend.

Fun topic but it does get a lot of debate. Personally, the way it rolls doesn’t matter since our rolls go vertical not horizontal. There really isn’t an over/under issue. The type – I’m picky about. I want soft and strong. Quilted is the best. I used to go with several different two ply brands…won’t buy one ply for my home or for others. Now, there is even a three ply and I buy it with great deals at Amazon or Target.

I used to roll it under but I roll it over now. The cats seem to have a harder time unrolling it if it is over 🙂

I ALWAYS had it roll under. But now since I am living with my mom and my brother, THEY insist on having it roll over. (The paper towels, too). It seems to me that this is causing waste, and that too much paper comes out each time. (And I know just what you mean about a certain someone never putting on a new roll!)
