Ergonomic Shoes for Babies and Toddlers from Attipas

March 16, 2014 by Shelly

attipas logoAttipas loosely translates to “precious steps” and when babies wear a pair of Attipas, you want those precious steps to be supported and to be ergonomically correct.

Baby’s first steps are critical and the footwear you choose can help or hinder your new walker. The science is in; walking barefoot is the best way for babies to learn to walk. They grip the walking surface with every toe; they change their center of gravity and direction with every step. Attipas is the next best thing to being barefoot, but in Attipas, baby’s tootsies are protected and given the freedom of movement they need with the protection of a shoe.

Attipas Features:

* Large toe box for free toe movement
* Super lightweight design
* Breathable
* Machine washable and quick drying
* Soft, flexible and non-slip sole
* Made from non-toxic materials
* Retail Price: $24.99 – $29.99 = Affordable

My Thoughts: When my little grand daughter was first learning to walk, she had a difficult time with it. Partially it was due to the hardwood floor (she slipped often) and partially it was due to having improper footwear. Four years ago, they just didn’t have things like Attipas out there in the retail market.

When I was asked to review a pair of Attipas, I jumped at the chance. My niece just had a little girl back in November and my daughter will be getting pregnant again this Fall.

For review I was sent the Corsage Green baby shoes to review for all of you. They are available in 4 different sizes and I just love how feminine and pretty that this style looks! They have flexible rubbery like soles and a knit sock upper. That sole is shaped just like a baby’s foot!

We tried them on my little great-niece and they were too big on her, but she will grow into them. I loved how easy they were to get on her feet and how easy they were to take off. There are no buckles or laces to fumble with, just pull them on/off.

My niece is going to use them for the baby once she starts walking and then she will pass them onto my daughter when she gets pregnant again. They are extremely well-made, super cute and I can totally see how comfortable they will be for any child who is learning to walk.

    I am glad that there now is ergonomic footwear for toddlers. It is so important to have them walk correctly without messing up their feet or toes because shoes do not fit properly.

    Oh, I learned the importance of a large toe box the hard way! My poor daughter’s toes got squished in shoes that were improperly fitted. But these look great – moms, take note! Make sure there’s enough room for all the toes to move around freely!
