As a big crafter and scrapbooker, I am always on the hunt for some great pens for the paper crafts that I do. I was really excited to receive some new items to try out for all of you.
For the review I received the Sarasa Retractable Gel Pen Set which contained 14 different gel pens. They are the new evolutionary rapid dry ink gel pens that do not smear or smudge. They dry in less than one second on most surfaces.
The pens are available in 14 vibrant ink colors and in 3 point sizes. I received the medium point (0.7 mm) which I think is fantastic for scrapbooking, card making and other paper crafts.
I decided to try them out while working on a scrapbook page and used one to do the journaling on the page. I loved how comfortable the pens feel in your hands and the ultra glide ink performance provides smooth writing with no skipping. I was able to do precision writing with no ink globs or mess.
I then decided to work on some homemade greeting cards for the upcoming Mother’s Day holiday. After I completed the front of my cards, I wrote the sentiments in my own handwriting on the inside. Again, I had perfect precision control with no smearing, smudging, ink globs or skipping. I love that they are retractable too!
Finally, We cut out some tiny 1/2″ circles to decorate the bottom of some HERSHEY’S kisses for a party we were hosting. We used all of the Zebra Pens to write and draw designs onto the circles. We then affixed them onto the bottom of the HERSHEY’S kisses, placed them into little goodie bags and our party favors were done. Super cute & very easy to do! The grand daughter had a lot of fun making these!
Overall, I LOVE my new set of retractable gel pens from Zebra Pen! I love them so much, that I want to get more so that I have plenty on hand for all of my paper crafting needs! They are the best gel pens I have ever used!

Retractable is so great ! I haven’t noticed these, but definitely want to check them out. I just went through a bunch of coloring pens, and had to throw so many out, as they had dried up. I like to make little doodles on envelopes, make my own cards, gift tags, letter writing, etc. with colored pens, and gel are my fav. Wowie!!!
No ink globs is a big selling point for me! Gel pens so often are just plain messy! I’ll try these.
Oh No! Here is something else I need desperately or my scrapbooking pages just won’t look right. Or at least that is what I will tell my husband with the most pitiful voice ever!! Thanks for the info.
The fact that the gel dries in less than 1 second and does not smudge makes this a great pen to use for any craft project as well as in every day use. I shall have to buy Zebra pens soon.
I have been looking for a nice set of gel pens. These look great, and are much more reasonably priced than the sets I saw in the art supply catalogs (they are EXPENSIVE!). Thanks for the head’s up on this, I saw the post just in time!! : )
I LOVED using colored pencils and pens when I was young and was crafting under my loving Grandmother’s tutoring. I think you should win the Zebra contest for your KISSES “badges” – they are so creative and thoughtful!
I love gel pens. I’ve read that gel pens are the best for writing checks since they’re not easily erased or modified like regular ink can be. And I like to use them for writing recipes down, too, because if the paper or index card gets splashed, the ink doesn’t run. Now you’ve got me lusting after this colorful set! LOL
There is nothing more that I remember enjoying then spending time with family and learning that each of us has a creative mind! The special crafts for which this would be used, often times are done to raise money in helping with my youth group, scouts, self (medical bills and student loans) and specific holiday occasions. Often my plans aren’t always able to come to fruition but should I be blessed to ever receive these gel pens it would help. Within this the purpose and chance lays in if I were to ever win the item; I am unable to afford the item at this time but they would be perfect!
I purchased a smaller pack of this brand in different colors years ago and some still work but mostly have used them all. I would get them again and enjoy the different colors.
I would love to get these really nice pens to do crafts with and do my puzzles with. They make a lot of different colors on the outside and I think I would like to get the roller pens.
I would love to try these pens! Think off all the projects I could do with all those colors!
