Good morning everyone, Happy Monday to you all. We are finally at the beginning of March and surely spring has got to be around the corner. We had a dusting of snow last night and wow, it is bitter cold out there this morning. Looking forward to the weekend when we will be in the 40’s and close to 50’s as I am sick of this winter crap now.
Today’s Topic: Last night the Oscars were on and were pitted up against the #1 drama on TV ~ The Walking Dead. For my household, we were plopped down in front of the TV watching The Walking Dead! I find award shows to be super boring and I really don’t care about celebrities getting all dressed up for a night to toot their own horns. So, did you watch the Oscars, The Walking Dead or something else last night on TV?

Congrats to both the winners!
I dint watch the Oscars and could have cared less they were on. I am not too impressed by actors or actresses acting silly. I also wished twitter and facebook wasnt plasered with it. I watched The Walking Dead. I love the show, and although the one with just Sarryl and Beth wasnt moving so fast I like how Darryl let go of some baggage.
I liked the episode but I didn’t enjoy the snake eating. That totally grossed me out! I love Daryl and want to marry him hahaha!
Congratulations to the winners. I didn’t watch the ocars I was doing stuff on my computer. I do want to see some clips of Ellen from the night though because she just cracks me up. I agree with you though I am not really into watching a bunch of fake people dress up and be fake. Half of them are only there because mommy and daddy were in the business and everything was handed to them like Angelina Jolie ahhh nepotism!
Heather, I can’t stand Angelina! I think she is a terrible actress…I don’t enjoy her acting at all.
Congrats winners! Merry Monday! It’s cold so I hope everyone is staying warm and safe.
The awards are just there. I didn’t watch and was a little annoyed that they cut into the news. They go on forever, cost a lot, and I’m with you it is is famous people that are already talked about talking about themselves. With that being said, I did tune in today to see highlights and the fashion. I’m blown away at the gifts these people get….like they couldn’t already buy it. I do have to say I though Matthew McConaughey’s speech was amazing. Very touching and deep! The speeches do give us a chance to see a different and real side of the actors, and that’s nice.
I also checked back and forth since I’m not big on award shows. I really enjoyed Bette Midler’s Wind Beneath My Wings rendition. She looks and acts amazing (she is 68-just lovely!). On more bright notes I am thrilled to pieces to win the Dorcy Spotlight! I thanked everyone in my morning tweet. Another bright note is that here in the valley, it will be 80 degrees Wednesday and 84 on Friday–cause for great celebration I would say. I also enjoyed the free car wash over the weekend too (torrential rains). I love LA.
I do not watch the Awards. I used too! But as I have gotten older I have no interest in it. However I Love Ellen She is so Sweet and Funny.. I will watch some reruns just to see her. I need a good Laugh! Really looking forward to some nice weather too! This winter has been Brutal!!
I love Awards shows and I thought the Oscars was terrific last night! I do not get all the cable channels and I do not watch Walking Dead. I have heard that it is a very good show. I can try to see if I can watch the reruns. I can not wait like you for Spring. We got 7 inches of snow last nigh! Ugh!!
Congratulations to the 2 winners.
I watched some of the Oscars and then went to read.
I am glad we too only received a dusting of snow although it is so cold I don;t like stepping outside.
It is bone-chilling outside today Jo-Ann! I have to go out shortly to help the kids pick out some funeral flowers for the Big E’s mom’s funeral. I am going to bundle up for sure. The good thing is that we will be near 50 this weekend and I am loving that!
We Netflix and PVR’d it – watch a few episodes of House of Cards and then breezed through the Oscars on the PVR skipping over the ads and boring / sappy stuff.
LOL! I kept switching back and forth. I didn’t see any of the movies that were nominated, but I like looking at all the beautiful (and some not so beautiful) gowns the ladies wear.
