Good morning everyone! Welcome to Thursday, March 20th…the first official day of Spring! Today happens to be my dad’s birthday (Happy Birthday Dad)…love ya!
Do you do anything special to welcome in the First Day of Spring or the First Weekend of Spring? We always have a nice dinner on this day every year so I will be cooking up a family feast later today. On years that Easter falls in April (like this year) it is also a day that I begin my Spring decorating (although I started early this year due to participation in a brand campaign). How do you like to kick off this special time? Anything special?

May the beauty in that of Spring bring you a flower. As your beautiful smile enlightens the day after a shower! It’s only then will I know that together we can last through life’s future call! And with each other, side-by-side, we can conquer and destroy any wall!

I don’t do anything to celebrate the first day of Spring, but I hope the weather will soon become more spring-like. in other words warmer. We had one warm day and now it is getting colder again.

By my very own Spring detector it was Spring on Tuesday. I mark the day when the last of the snow melts from my front lawn. The home owners association snow plow always piles it up in my yard on the north side of the house and it doesn’t usually melt until the sun gets around and melts it about this time.
I saw the first blooming daffodil today and heard a chickadee.

Thanks Sarah! It has been a rough road for Dad this past year. He has cancer and is beating it! wootwoot! So glad he had another birthday & he got to spend it with the family.
Hope your spring family feast went well. Spring for me is more of a concept, a long-awaited dream. First the snow will have to melt, then we’ll have mud season, then maybe spring will get here. Sigh…
Happy birthday to your dad. My birthday is on the 28th I love Spring so much. I love everything about it the flowers, the blossoming tree, longer days, warmer weather, and baby animals. It is the best time of the whole year by far. I don’t really do anything to celebrate today but maybe I should start. We have starting decorating the house a little for Spring and have fresh cut daffodils in the center of the table. I just love daffodils and smile when I see them popping up all over.

Since my internet was out the past 15 hours, I got some Spring cleaning done and a full hour of exercise this morning! I think this tells me I need to spend less time online and more time in the real world, lol. Since most days are mid 70s here, I miss the Spring season we used to have in Colorado and Ohio. I hope those in the flooding areas are doing OK though.
About time!! I have been ready for spring for a long time.
I actually have the day off today so I will be tending to and tilling the garden so I can plant my seeds soon.
A friend of ours hosts an anual crawfish boil on the first Saturday of spring, so that is what we will be doing.

I am so glad that we are out of Winter and all the sub zero temperatures! I have already decorated for Easter, and it is in April this year. I am having a family Easter dinner, and the nieces and nephews are getting Easter candy and having a Easter Egg hunt. It should be fun.
How fast time passes, I feel as if just yesterday we celebrated Christmas and soon Easter is coming.
For me spring is the best time of the year. Happy Spring everyone
Happy first day of Spring…I don’t do anything special much anymore to celebrate the day as it is, but it was the day I brought home my late dog, Oz, so I usually do things in his honor on this day.
