Good morning everyone! Happy Hump Day Wednesday! We had a beautiful day here in Pennsylvania yesterday and hit 71 degrees! Beautiful sunshine and warmth! Finally, all of the snow that was left in our yard (shaded areas) is gone! Yard is tore up and very muddy but I am pretty happy to see brown grass and mud! Yesterday I went out to a doc appointment, did 2 local reviews, had lunch out and got the car washed.
Today’s Topic: Have you all been following the news about that missing Malaysia Airlines flight? Wow, that is pretty damn scary that they can’t find it! Oh my gosh, my heart just breaks for those families to not have any answers yet about what happened. Have any of you had any issues when you have flown?

It’s amazing that in this day and age, a plane is undetectable once it leaves the landmass and goes over water. I agree that it’s heartbreaking to think of all those families, not knowing what’s become of their loved ones. My spouse was flying on a business trip this week, and all this talk made me very nervous, especially because he flew home into a snow and wind storm. But he’s home, which makes it all the more poignant when I think of all those missing souls.
Anne, I am glad your fiance made it home safe and sound. These days you have to be very careful no matter how you travel. A few months ago a guy from up north (out of state) was shot and killed in a road rage incident here in PA. Super scary! Sadly, they haven’t caught the criminal who did it yet. Just a shame for his family.
Thankfully, I have not had any issues while flying – it is still my preferred way to travel – I get very nervous in cars, due to all the traffic. It is heartbreaking for the families not to know what has happened. There are so many questions being raised – the stolen passports, a woman who has said that one of the pilots had a habit of inviting women into the cockpit, the transponder turned off and the near U-turn the aircraft made. Please everyone pray for comfort for all those involved. I agree with Jo-Ann Brightman – not knowing is way worse, than even getting the bad news you’ve been dreading.
That is scary…. and I would hate to be one of the families who can only wait and pray. Not knowing would be the worst thing because there is no closure….
Congratulations to the winners. I have had two close calls while flying that really truly scared me now I really don’t like to fly at all. I used to love to fly but now I freak out about everything the people, the pilots, the age of the plane, the maintenance oh and the weather. This missing plane is really damn scary. I pray for the families it is just heartbreaking.
Congrats winners! I keep checking, not obsessing, but surprised they have not been found. I watch sci fi stuff and think most anything is possible but geesh. I avoid flying whenever I can. I have to wear those ear tubes since the pressure issue just kills me. Hoping we get some good news soon about the flight.
I used to love to fly until I almost died on a flight 14 years ago from a medical problem. Now I avoid flying. I am lucky though…when we go on our cruise in October we only have to drive 2 hours into Baltimore to get into the ship. Yay, a flight avoided!
I am so sad for all the families for their missing family members! I am praying for them during this terrible ordeal. I think the plane was hijacked. Why else would it veer off course and not stay in contact. If it was not hijacked then it prpbably crashed where they can not find it. Either way, it is so sad for all the people involved!
Congratulations to the 2 winners.
The weather was nice and warm yesterday. Today it started out warm, but it will start raining and then turn sharply colder – so cold that there will be snow by tomorrow morning . Oh well, slowly slowly the weather is warming up.
The missing Malaysian Airlines flight is truly a tragedy for those families involved – to not know is sometimes worse than knowing the worst.
