Easter Party Favors with HERSHEY’S Candy #BunnyTrail

easter candy in flower bowlLast week I shared with all of you a few home decorating ideas you could do using various HERSHEY’S Easter candies. Today, I am going to show you a different idea that you can use as Easter basket fillers or for elementary school parties.

As you all know, I am a grandmother to an almost 5 year old little girl who attends Pre-K School. For their upcoming Easter party, we made up little goodie bags filled with HERSHEY’S Kisses and Rolo candies in the pretty pastel colored wrappers.

Instead of just stuffing them into little cellophane bags, we decided to do something a little different to make them a little bit more special.

HERSHEY’S Kisses Party Favors

food-safe cellophane bags
curling ribbon
pastel colored cardstock
fine tip markers
glue dots
scissors
bags of HERSHEY’S Kissses and/or Rolo candies

Gather up all of your supplies and lay them out in an assembly line fashion. We measured around the bottom of a HERSHEY’S Kiss and made ourselves a circle template. We then traced this circle onto the cardstock paper and cut out a slew of circles. If you have a circle punch, you could use that too.

You can decorate the little circles with tiny Easter theme’d stickers or let the kids draw on them. In our case, the Princess had a great time decorating the circles with fine tip markers. She drew flowers, hearts, Easter eggs, etc. onto them. We then used a glue dot to stick the circle onto the bottom of each HERSHEY’S Kiss. The photo on the right shows them on the bottoms of the candies.

Simply toss them into the cellophane bags and tie a ribbon around them. We used curling ribbon which made them a lot cuter. You can add tags or decorate the little bags any way you like. Keep it simple or go way out! We used a glue dot and affixed a Rolo in the center of our curling ribbon bow which looks super cute (see top photo on the right).

I love how this makes the candies seem even more special. Personalization will add something unique to each candy and to each bag. The bag would be great as a gift or part of a grab bag at a party.

That is such a cute idea! I love it. It adds personalization and fun to the candy. I may do this for the people at my work and my neighbors. I like the idea of feeling crafty without having to be real crafty — I’m not.

    • Sherry, I am really crafty and love to sit and be creative. I haven’t had a lot of time to do stuff like that but things are changing and I will have more time for it. I love quick & easy crafts!

Easter is later this year which gives me time to make up Easter goodies for my nieces and nephews. Hershey’s has the best Easter candy and thanks for the ideas in creating some nice goodie bags.

  5. I love the Easter time candy! Such pretty pastel colors that look pretty on their own. Spring is near!!

  6. I like to use stickers or stamps for decorating. Markers sometimes get everywhere and make a mess but just depends. Easter decorating is so fun and colorful. It’s one of my favorite holidays.

  7. Fun ideas. BTW the photo is on the top left, not top right that shows the Rolo on the ribbon.

I love Easter candy because the packaging is pretty pastel colors. I love the cute glass dish that you put the candy in. 🙂
