ULTA. Beauty at Play – Trading Faces

February 19, 2014 by Classystaff

This post brought to you by Trading Faces. All opinions are 100% mine.

How many of you are really into beauty products? For those of you who are, do you stick to the classics or do you like to play around and mix it up? Do you keep up on the beauty trends? Who do you get your beauty information from?

For me personally, I love beauty products and I am constantly mixing things up! Some weeks I go for the “barely there” natural look with my cosmetics and then on other weeks I will go all out and play around with some bright or dramatic colors.

One of my best facial features are my eyes, so I love to experiment with different colors, products and trends that are centered around the eyes. My eyes are sometimes green and at other times a blue/green and I was blessed with this naturally. I love to enhance my eyes with colorful eye shadows, mascara and cream eyeliners which really give them definition.

How many of you are familiar with ULTA? One of the things I love about ULTA is the fact that they realize that real women love to get real beauty advice from their peers! That’s right, many of us look to the everyday woman to get our beauty style and to learn new makeup tricks. Just like all of you, I rarely follow what the celebrities do and I am always talking with my friends and/or reading everyday beauty blogs online.

Recently ULTA kicked off their “Trading Faces” beauty campaign and I just love it!  This campaign celebrates original beauty by inviting 2 real women with 2 very unique beauty styles to trade their styles with one another. Each of these women are from different parts of the country.

What is really cool to see is the regional styles from one area to another. Here on the east coast, our beauty style seems to be much different than the midwest and vice-versa. It is always cool to see what other real women are doing across the country in regards to their beauty look. These different looks include: hair, skin and makeup routines.

For this particular campaign ULTA paired together a woman from Dollywood with a woman from Hollywood to show us all what happens when Southern Charm trades faces with L.A. glam! I am hoping next time around they get a beauty from the east coast to reflect our unique style too.

You can find information about this campaign and beauty the lovely ladies involved by visiting ULTAtradingfaces.com and make sure you check out the very cool 4-minute video for their before and after beauty looks. I love that the video also includes beauty tips & tricks from each of the lovely ladies and a peek inside their cosmetic bags! Oh, how fun!

Want more information? Just check out ULTA’s Facebook page, Pinterest and Instagram accounts to see more!

I would love to hear about any tips or tricks you want to share so please leave them below in my blog’s comment form. Thanks!

I love Ulta and haven’t been there in a while. They have such great prices especially around the holidays. I have to drive to Burbank for a store but it’s worth it.

I didn’t realize that beauty styles were different from region to region. This Trading Face campaign is a good and interesting idea . I shall be watching Ulta to see how the ladies wear each other’s styles.

Interesting idea and I bet they get some really good stories from it. I love it when companies recognize “real” people. We all are individual and mostly like that. I keep my make up natural and want it to enhance me. Recently, there was a study that took real women and airbrushed them for model like cover photos. They learned they liked their freckles and features and didn’t care for the photos.
