Tips to Help You Choose the Right Skincare Products

Tips to Help You Choose the Right Skincare Products https://twoclassychics.com/2014/02/tips-help-choose-right-skincare-products/Every day it seems there is a new skin care product line that claims to be the best and most advanced thing out there. When you go to the store or do a search online for products, it can be overwhelming to try and choose the correct product for your face and skin. Just walking through a beauty department with all of the different lotions and potions can make you just turn around and leave!

So how do you decide what products are best for your skin anyway? Here are a few tips to help you choose the right skincare products for your skin.

* Only buy a product that works for a specific problem that you need to correct. For example, if you are needing a new moisturizer that does more for you, look for a product that specifically targets the areas that you need help with – extra dry skin, wrinkles, or anti-aging. I am a firm believer of keeping it as simple as possible. I do not want or need extra chemicals or products on my face that my skin does not need.

* Control the number of products that you use on your face. By keeping the products simple and easy, they will work harder for you. Using too many products can cause additional skin issues. I personally keep it simple with a moisturizer, a targeted night cream, and occasionally, a serum or eye wrinkle cream. Once a week, I will use an exfoliatant. That works best for my skin.

* Research any new product before you buy it to make sure it is what you want. Read reviews and get the general information on its effectiveness. That will help you save money by not purchasing the wrong products for your skin.

By keeping the skin care process easy you can use great products that will work right for your skin. If I find one that does everything I need, I may even spend a bit more money – Knowing that I will get the biggest bang for my buck with a premium product that can last up to 6 months or more.

Take your time to read the labels, do the research and choose a product that targets your issues you want to correct. Make a list of issues your skin is having and choose those products that bring it to you as purely as possible. Remember to keep it simple and that will help you choose the right products for your skin.

It’s confusing to choose a skin care product because there are so many in the stores. I have purchased products and not used them up because they were not right for my skin type. I like DHC products, but they are pricey and I sometimes can afford only a drugstore product.

  2. Sometimes I a, overwhelmed by all of the choices out there! I try to pick what I think is best but I am not sure if it is or not! Thanks for the tips I will definitely be using them!!

I have to pay attention to what I buy. There are so many products out there and I am not sure which are the best for me. I am going to try and follow your advice and see which really work on my skin. I don’t need all the products I currently have and shall do my utmost to eliminate all the unnecessary ones.

It is so hard to choose the right products. So many different ones are out there and they all sound good. You are right it’s important to pick the right ones for your problems and skin type. My daughter will research and look up reviews for us before we buy, but it still often comes down to trial and error. I love it when bloggers, like you, do reviews. Really helps give us a personal perspective. Thanks.

Thank you for the advice. I always have problems choosing skincare products, mainly because I hate feeling cream residue on my skin. I personally am a soap and water kind of gal, other than using proactive every now and then and I love mudmasks which I use about once a week. I do need to find a good anti wrinkle something soon though.

  6. I have to make sure to pick products for sensitive skin because I can not have any fragrance or certain chemicals that cause me to break out in a rash. I can not use any Maybelline mascaras because my eyes swell up. I have to be very careful with what I put on my skin.

I have been using Cerave hydrating cleanser and moisturizing lotion on my face. You can buy these products just about anywhere like Target, Walgreens or Riteaid etc. I love these products!

  8. “Control the number of products that you use..” – Argh that is so hard! They are always introducing new things that are supposed to be better than the last, and yes, I sometimes fall for it. Who doesn’t have a cabinet in their bathroom with TONS of products (that mostly don’t work). You’ve made me think more about this and I am going to try to not buy anything unless I run out!
