My daughter grew up being a HUGE fan of Strawberry Shortcake. I can remember watching her sitting in front of the TV on Saturday morning’s with her bowl of cereal and being glued to the TV when she was on. She owned a lot of Strawberry Shortcake theme’d toys, games and clothing over the years and now that she is a mother, she has passed on that sweet love to her own little girl.
Recently a brand new Strawberry Shortcake DVD was released on February 18th, 2014 called Strawberry Shortcake: Berry Big Help. We got a complimentary copy of this DVD for review.
Synopsis: It’s time for everyone to help out as best they can in these three delightful Strawberry Shortcake episodes. It’s Strawberry to the rescue in “Babysitter Blues” when the princess asks her to look after a very special Baby Berrykin. Orange and Lemon take on the role of “Fashion Elves” in “A Stitch of Time” to help Raspberry with her fashion design dreams. And there’s no place like home when Orange adopts a bitty fish that turns out to be a homesick tadpole. Join in the sparkly fun as the girls learn that lending a helping hand can be a berry big deal indeed!
Our Thoughts: Let me first say this…the Princess loves this new DVD!!! We have had the DVD for several days now and I would estimate that she has watched it at least 7 times already! This special DVD also includes FREE printable coloring pages and a “Sunshine Girls” music video. The coloring pages are just adorable and she likes to color them while watching the DVD.
The DVD includes 3 short fun-filled episodes featuring Strawberry Shortcake and her friends. The episodes included are: (1) Babysitter Blues (2) A Stitch in Time (3) Fish Out of Water.
All three of these episodes have great story lines about sharing, caring and helping others. I love quality entertainment like this for our little ones as way too many children are being exposed to things that are not good for them. This is indeed QUALITY and EDUCATIONAL entertainment!!!
This DVD would make a great gift for any little girl for Easter or who has a birthday this Spring or Summer. You can find it for purchase online and at various retailers across the nation. We give it a big 2-thumbs up!

(Strawberry Shortcake – Berry Big Help DVD) The little four year old girl I babysit really likes these Strawberry Short Cake DVD’s. I won her a different one last Summer sometime and she was so thrilled when I gave it to her. She likes watching a lot of the girly DVD’s.
I love children’s DVDs that are quality and educational too. It is also great that this special DVD also includes free printable coloring pages and a “Sunshine Girls” music video. I m glad that your granddaughter is enjoying it.
I love Strawberry Shortcake and glad they are still making and updating the shows. Always puts me in a good mood when I can catch an episode on PBS.
