Good morning everyone! *Yawn* I just got back home a little bit ago and all I can think about is sleeping. Spent the night at the hospital sitting with my auntie. She was even more confused last night than the previous two nights. She hasn’t gotten worse but she isn’t getting better either. I guess this is par for the course when you are 89 years old. For now, it is easier for me to take the night shift with her than a day shift plus easier on my family.
Today’s Topic: What is your personal jewelry style? Are you a gold girl or a white metal girl? Do you like classic pieces, bold styles or what? Do you wear one piece at a time or do you layer it on, more the better?
I can’t wear a lot of jewelry because of my profession, but I do have some lovely rose gold pieces that I wear on the weekends.
So sorry about your aunt. Hope all gets better.
I gave up jewelry a few years ago, except for a gold chain, which was the last birthday gift from my mother. I do still wear my wedding ring on my left hand and my grandmother’s diamond ring on my right, both white gold. Making beaded earrings was a hobby I used to greatly enjoy until the bags and piles of earrings began piling up–you can give away just so many earrings and bracelets before it gets old. I miss it, but I don’t miss the finished pieces mocking me.
You’re very sweet to keep your Auntie company even over night while she’s in the hospital. I’ll keep a good thought for you, for her, and for the rest of your family, too.
Congratulations to the 2 winners.
I like to wear matching earrings to whatever I am wearing – usually costume jewelry and often with a matching brooch or necklace, not rings. My grandmother started me doing this when I was a child and I never stopped, so i have an extensive costume jewelry collection as well as some silver, gold and stones.
I keep my jewelry simple mostly. I love diamond hoop earrings and my sapphire ring. I wear those with my watch and wedding rings. I hardly ever wear a necklace…if I do normally a chain or cross. I prefer sterling silver or, if I want to pay, white gold.
I am usually a classic person. Simple strand of pearls, etc. However, when its the right occasion, bling is great, especially if it simulates gemstones.
I like sterling silver at my choice of jewelry. I like dangling earrings, rings, and layered necklaces. I do like the different designs in necklaces that have bright colors. But mostly I like my jewelry plain and not gawdy looking.
