My Thoughts: I am not the smartest user when it comes to setting up a new cellphone and I am certainly not as proficient with one as my husband is. He uses one all day long at work and he knows phones like the back of his hand. With that said, I was determined to figure this one out all on my own and I am happy to report that this phone is one of the easiest smartphones I have ever used!

I spent 10 minutes reading over their Get Started Guide which comes with the phone. Everything is laid out in an easy to understand format and within 10 minutes you understand it all and are ready to roll. I love that!

Once I was ready, I fired up my new smartphone and got busy exploring it. I set up my contact’s list with phone numbers, installed a few apps that I needed and made a few phone calls to give out my new number. I had NO connectivity problems and I could hear crystal clear.

Sending and receiving text messages are really easy to do and I love how I can quickly move from screen to screen with no sputtering or lock-ups. Thanks to the 4″ IPS Impact Resistant Touchscreen, I can easily see things and find them quickly. Matter of fact, I dropped the phone onto my ceramic tile floor by accident and it didn’t shatter or break. Yay!!!

Furthermore, We travel a lot and we spend a lot of time outdoors hiking, gardening, walking or just hanging on the beach when we are down at the beach house. Having a high-quality smartphone that can handle our busy rough & tumble lives is important to us.

My old smartphone took terrible photos so I rarely used it for photo-taking. However, this particular smartphone has a 5 MP Camera and wow, the photos I have been taking with it have been coming out just as beautiful as if I had taken them with my expensive digital camera. That is really impressive to me! They are crisp, clear and have no fuzziness to them at all!!!

My new cellphone came with Sprint activation and service. I want to tell you about their new Sprint Family Plan which is fantastic and super affordable!

Sprint is redefining the wireless family with the new Sprint Framily Plan – a revolutionary pricing program that lets consumers decide who they consider family. For one line of service, new Sprint customers pay $55 per month per line for unlimited talk, text and 1GB of data. Build a group of at least seven people and everyone gets unlimited talk, text and 1GB of data for $25 per month per line.

Now your yoga teacher, favorite barista, fantasy football team, parents on your son’s soccer team, cube mate, parents and anyone else in your extended community can all be a part of your “framily.” With Sprint Framily, the more individuals in a group, the greater the savings for each member.

The Sprint Framily Plan is available to new and existing customers. Build a group of at least 7 people and everyone gets unlimited talk, text and 1GB of data for as low as $25 per month per line while on the Sprint network. Plus, for only $20 per month per line, group members can buy up to unlimited data and get a new phone every year. Each member of the group can customize their plan to meet their unique needs and each account is billed separately. For one line of service, customers pay $55 per month per line for unlimited talk, text and 1GB of data. For each new Sprint customer that joins the Framily group, the cost per person goes down $5 a month up to a maximum monthly discount of $30 per line.

I am loving this new Kyocera Hydro Edge Android Smartphone by Sprint and let me tell you, it is the best cellphone I have ever used! I love all of the various features, the ease of use, the 5 MP camera (is fabulous) and I love that it is impact-resistant which is great for my busy outdoor life! Top notch!!! Plus, I have had NO issues with my Sprint service either! No missed calls, no dropped calls, no service interruptions, nothing…absolutely perfect!

I will have to say the waterproof feature. Hubby works in cleaning and I can’t tell you how many phones have been ruined due to water. And me, I’m just as bad…not really lol. But my phone fell out of my jacket pocket last night and hours later, there it was outside under 4-5 inches of new snow.
