Today’s Topic: When it comes to Valentine’s Day gifts that you have received over the years…which gift was your favorite and why? When it comes to gifts that you have given, which type of gifts are favorites to give?
My favorites to receive are just quiet & romantic dinners at home. While going out to do something is nice, I just prefer to be at home and to have my man’s undivided one-on-one attention! One of my favorite gifts he has given me for Valentine’s Day is my “couples ring” which has my birthstone and his birthstone in it…similar to a mother’s ring…but just our birthstones in it.

I like the normal gifts like flowers and jewelry…They are always nice. Sentimental gifts mean the most though. Deeply thought cards are great. My daughter often makes me cry with hers. She is grown and she is always writing sweet things in them. I love it when my husband and daughter surprise me with something. This happened just today. I have been visiting my grandkids and arrived home yesterday. Today at work I received carnations (blue – my favorite flowers), roses, and tulips a beautiful display.

My favorite Valentine’s Day is a quiet dinner at home with some special elements or gifts included in it. I usually make a special dish in a heart shaped pan for my husband. I buy sugar free chocolate for him from a chocolatier and he usually buy me dark chocolate covered marzipan from that chocolatier. Sometime he buys me flowers.
Dinner and a movie is typically my gift along with some flowers and chocolate.
