Activities During Power Outages

Good morning everyone! Well, it was another rough night here in my neck of the woods. We got slammed with an ice storm and the ice & freezing rain is still coming down. The PA turnpike has been closed for hours due to a big fatal accident and I currently have a large old pine tree down in my backyard. ugh!

We got TONS of ice and trees down in our backyard again with on/off power issues. I am not impressed!

Today’s Topic: At some time or another, I am sure you faced a power outage. During those times, what do you do to occupy yourself and to keep busy? What is the longest time that you have ever went without power?

Sadly we get them all of the time. We get tornados, hurricanes, blizzards, earthquakes, snow storms, ice storms, thunderstorms, etc. I think the longest we went without power was almost a week in duration with hurricane Sandy. We did get hit with 2 snow blizzards in one week a few years ago which took out our power for 4 days. I get REALLY bored, REALLY quick when we don’t have power!
