Wedding Band vs. DJ the Pros and Cons
There are about a million and one decisions to be made while planning a wedding. While the groom is just relieved that his bride said yes, the bride is often battling pressure and panic to make her special day absolutely perfect in every way. Each detail should be carefully looked over, from the party favors at the end to the type of LA wedding band or music DJ they hire. There are pros and cons to going either way with the music. It’s good to review a list of them before making the final decision.
Pro: Special Request
One pro of going with a wedding band vs. a DJ is the fact that the band can take special requests at any time. This is lovely not only for the happy couple but also for every single guest. When you have the live band there, you can ask them to do anything. With a DJ, though, he is reliant upon whatever music he has brought, which often can be a small selection.
Con: More Notice
A potential issue with wanting to get a live band is that it might be hard to get them scheduled for your date. Advance notice is absolutely necessary to be able to schedule a band’s performance. Then again, most who are planning a wedding like to get everything done well in advance, so perhaps scheduling the band early would only relieve stress instead of create it. Either way, advance notice and planning is typically necessary.
Pro: Better-Quality Sound
While CDs often give great sound quality, if you go with a live LA wedding band, you will likely find a much better sound quality. Nothing beats live music. It will also be more prone to giving a more consistent feel and atmosphere. After all, a wedding is a beautiful event where the atmosphere should be exactly as the bride and groom would like for it to be. If the band is live, they can direct them to sing whatever, whenever, and however they would like at any given time. Indeed, anyone would agree that hiring a live band over a DJ is the better choice for any wedding… except for possibly the DJ.
