I love to read and one of my favorite authors of all-time happens to be V.C. Andrews! Seriously, I have read at least 10 V.C. Andrews books over the years and today, I get to tell you about the re-release of the “Flowers in the Attic” book and the new “Flowers in the Attic” movie on Lifetime which airs today!
I am super excited about this new movie as I have seen the original (old) version of this movie several times. I am also in the process of reading the re-released book! It is the classic novel of forbidden love!
Check out the new movie trailer above! It looks fantastic and I will be parked in front of my TV later today watching it!
The Movie Star’s:
Heather Graham as Corrine
Ellen Burstyn as Olivia
Kiernan Shipka as Young Cathy

Synopsis: At the top of the stairs are four secrets hidden. Blond, beautiful, innocent and struggling to stay alive. They were the perfect family, golden & carefree, until a heartbreaking tragedy shattered their happiness. Now, for the sake of an inheritance that will ensure their future, the children must be hidden away out of sight, as if they never existed.
Kept on the top floor of their grandmother’s vast mansion, their loving mother assures them that it will be just for a little while. But as brutal days swell into agonizing months and years, Cathy, Chris, and the twins Cory & Carrie realize their survival is at the mercy of their cruel and superstitious grandmother, and this cramped & helpless world may be the only one they ever know.
This enduring masterpiece of psychological suspense, the first in the Dollanganger family saga, Flowers in the Attic remains the most famous & provocative novel from V.C. Andrews, one of the most popular storytellers of all time.

I am not sure if I want to watch such a creepy scary story, but it might be worth it. (And I can get my husband to hold my hand when I am scared) I hope you enjoyed it.
Oh trust me, Lifetime will be replaying the movie a gazillion times! It is really WORTH seeing if you are a V.C. Andrews fan!
I was so entranced by the book when I was young reader – I can’t believe I missed the movie last night! Hopefully it will show up on YouTube or Netflix.
The movie was fantastic last night! I thought it was much better than the original. That mean grandmother and lying mother made the hairs stand up on my arms…witches! I am going to watch it again when they replay it.
I’m interested in the remake. I never would have thought they would. The story itself is creepy and chilling. Heather Graham I thought did a wonderful job as first the loving then cold mother. Ellen Burstyn was fierce and stern. I read the books and wonder if they will continue the story as the books did.
I remember reading this book when I was in my 20s…a long time ago to be sure! Would have loved to have seen the movie and hope they will show it again! I love Ellen!
I am so excited for this movie tonight. Been looking forward to it for weeks. Lifetime movies are easily my greatest guilty pleasure.
(V.C. Andrews Flowers in the Attic Movie on Lifetime Today!) My brother and I both read this good book years ago when we were younger. Cannot wait to see this movie version tonight.
I’m so glad I saw this post! My husband and I saw the commercial on television recently and this reminds me to set my DVR this morning!
