Good Morning Everyone! Beautiful morning here in Pennsylvania with clear skies and sunshine! We will reach 52 degrees later today and you can bet your butt…I am going out with my walking group for a walk later today. This nice weather won’t be lasting long as rain and cold temps are moving back in late tonight. Sigh!
Today’s Topic: How many of you watched the Golden Globes Awards last night? We watched about 20 minutes and then put on a movie. We don’t get into award shows. With that said, Already this morning I am burned out about hearing about those awards. All kinds of people are online and on TV ripping a part what the female celebs wore to the award show. Really? As long as their private parts aren’t hanging out and they didn’t wear a plastic trash bag, who cares? Just because a gown isn’t your style or taste, doesn’t mean you should rip a part that celebrity for wearing it. Geesh! Thoughts?
Didn’t watch the Golden Globes. The only awards show I’ll even glance at is the Oscars and then it’s usually toward the end for the big awards like Best Director and Best Picture.
Fr the first time in years, my husband and I actually sat through the whole Golden Globes, including the pre-event red carpet. Needless to say, I had my second screen – my laptop – with me the whole time. My review: eh. Think ‘ll skip it next year.
It’s been a long time since I’ve been interested or patient enough to sit through an award show. I used to like looking at all the dresses, but since it’s become such a big thing, it’s just not as much fun; it’s more about the sylists than anything.
Besides, the Australian Open tennis tournament started last night, so I was watching that (and will be for the next couple of weeks).
You view on clothing of celebrities is very telling. It’s telling in a good way!
Congratulations to the 2 winners.
Today is going to be a beautiful day so I shall try to go out to enjoy it.
I went to the awards show for abut a minute and then switched the channel. I sometimes watch to hear what outrageous remarks are made or to see the fashions. Everyone has different tastes so I agree that if it isn’t offensive why make nasty remarks about what the celebrity is wearing – although for many it is good publicity.
i love watching award shows! I thought the monologue with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler was not as good as last year. The show seemed to be lackluster this year, but I still loved watching it. I watched the whole show! I find award shows very entertaining.
I agree. Certain people like certain things, that is why there are so many designers and so many options to choose from. Although, I thought a lot of the gowns last night were really beautiful.
