State of the Union Address

January 28, 2014 by Shelly

winterweather

Good morning! Rise and shine! No…I want to go back to bed! Had a rough night and was up almost all night long. I need sleep, a lot of sleep! On top of that, it is bitter cold here, around -14 with windchill last night so I am not in the mood to do anything.

Today’s Topic: How many of you will be watching the State of the Union Address given by the President? For those who do watch it, do you watch it every year or only when nothing else is on TV? Personally, I won’t be watching it at all. Hubby and I will slap in a DVD since every channel will be covering the State of the Union Address which means it will be a crappy night for TV. As a non-Obama supporter, I am just not interested in anything he has to say.

I watched the State of the Union address and I usually watch it every year. My husband really enjoys politics and discusses the policies. I do think Obama wants to help the needy, the lower classes and the middle class too.

I won’t be watching…honestly I never do. My husband watches all of them and then relays the highlights to me. Congrats to the winners.

I have to say one thing that Obama did that was good. He helped get health care to the needy. I am able to get affordable health care because of Obamacare. There still is a lot of problems with what is going on in the White House. I do not know what President Obama is working on right now for the American people. I will be watching the State of the Union.

God says we should respect our leaders.

      Hi Stephen

Not watching it has nothing to do with respect. I just choose to not watch it. Doesn’t mean I respect or disrespect Obama. What it means is that I don’t agree with his policies.
