Reverse Charades Hollywood Edition – Family Game
I have always been a gaming kind of person. By that, I mean board games. I’ve tried family game nights and other things to bring the family together to have fun with one another. I’m not even a mom–I wasn’t trying to convince my kids– I was trying to convince my siblings! They’re much older than me so I didn’t really get ‘play time’ with them, so there were times where they didn’t want to play. But mostly my family and I got ‘board’ with board games… Where was the action? Rolling the dice and moving a couple spaces gets pretty monotonous. I was very excited in reviewing Reverse Charades (Hollywood Edition)!
My family and I are huge movie buffs. My sister and I will always bring up a line or scene from a movie that relates to a certain situation. Same thing with my niece and nephew… I didn’t have to peel them away from their phone or video games… They saw my sister and I playing one-on-one with each other, having so much fun, they begged to join!
The Reverse Charades game is exactly what it is named–instead of one person acting out words for the team to guess, the team has only ONE minute to have a person guess as many as possible. Unfortunately, I didn’t have many people to play as the game described, but we made it work, and we had tons of fun anyway! We changed it up a bit, but THAT is what made the game so enjoyable! It is very versatile, which always kept us motivated and entertained in the game.
Wow, did we laugh so much! My stomach was sore from laughing so hard. It was Oldies vs. Babies. My sister and I totally dominated. We love movies, the film industry, knowing about celebrities and their ridiculous gossip. My niece and nephew knew most of their topics, but there were some that they claimed were a little bit before their time, (Teenagers… yeesh! haha) but I’m pretty sure they were just being sore losers.
There were so many cards! A lot of great topics/names within this Hollywood Edition. I really loved this game. I found that it is available through the app stores for smartphones, and told my niece and nephew. Now they’re spreading the news about it like wildfire! Their friends at school during lunch, and I’ve even told my coworkers about it.
Reverse Charades was very fun. My family and I will definitely continue to play. Especially since there are expansion packs available! Of course, there is the Original Reverse Charades, but also Sports, Awesome 80’s, Girl’s Night In, Junior’s, and Holiday Editions. Junior’s is to add the young ones into the fun (6+).
I find it very admirable and wonderful that when Reverse Charades is sold, a bit of the price goes to support Children’s Hospital’s and their families, and when Girl’s Night Out is sold, a bit of that price goes to support breast cancer research.
With all that fun we had with the Hollywood Edition of Reverse Charades, it’s time to add those other expansion packs to my collection! Now that sounds like way more than one game night!
