Just One Night by Kara Davis
I have found myself enjoying series of books more and more even though I hate to wait to find out what happens. That is the worst part by far! But today I want to share with you a book I received for review that originally started as a 3 part novella and was then published as a stand alone book. More and more books are being picked up published by independent authors and I am thrilled to read all of the new talent.

Synopsis:
Kasie Fitzgerald knows who she’s supposed to be. Responsible. Reliable. Predictable. She’s an ambitious workaholic who is devoted to the sensible man she plans to marry. But one wild, impulsive night in Vegas is about to open her eyes to who she wants to be .
Trying her sexy new dress and her luck at a blackjack table, Kasie meets him. Intense. Flirtatious. Dangerous. She accepts his invitation for a drink . . . and then to his hotel room. She doesn’t know his name. But she’ll never forget the night.
So when her mystery man later shows up at her office unexpectedly, she succumbs to him, both in bed and in the boardroom. There’s no telling where the powerful, wealthy Robert Dade will lead her. But there’s also no resisting her desire – however far she’ll go under its spell. The only question is who she’ll be when the journey ends.
My Thoughts: The first thing I thought when I finished this book was just how powerful this story was. You take a hardworking woman who had been going up the ladder in business who takes a risk on a dare from her girlfriend and then you watch the changes unfold. I think we have all had instances when we changed who we were depending on who we hung out with. This story is about a man that is a master of manipulation to someone he truly cares about. He thinks he is doing the right thing and is making Kasie a stronger women in every aspect.
I have to say this was the most amazing book I think I have ever read. Full of powerful emotion, insight and intense feelings. I am in awe of this writers talent to go deep into the psyche of her characters. I do not know how to explain how much I loved this writers style. This is a highly passionate story that is full of hot steamy romance and very intense mental imagery. If you have read 50 Shades of Grey or the Bared to You books, this goes way beyond that with the in depth emotional sides of Kasie and her relationships – both professional and personal. And what a mess they can be.
Simply put, I loved this book and could not put it down. I know that anything I write here to try and describe this book will not do it justice. Kara Davis is a fantastic writer and I know that I will be reading many more of her books in the future. If you enjoys books of this nature, you should grab this one for sure.
