Garden Apothecary Organic Bath and Beauty Products

January 23, 2014 by Kristine

Like many women, I enjoy bath and beauty products and especially look for unique products that I haven’t tried before. I was recently introduced to Garden Apothecary, which is an organic bath and beauty company that produces hand-made, small-batch botanical products for the face and body. The Garden Apothecary web site offers a variety of products including drinking teas, bath teas, candles, sugar scrubs, face and body mists, massage oils, mud masks and flower essences (perfumes), which are all made in Half Moon Bay, California. I was fortunate enough to get to review two products that are made by Garden Apothecary—the Evening Aphrodisiac Face and Body Mist and the Evening Aphrodisiac Flower Essence roll-on perfume.
Garden Apothecary Organic Bath and Beauty Products
Both of these products remind me of a blooming flower garden in the spring. The Garden Apothecary Face and Body mist has a light, refreshing feel to it and is perfect after a bath or shower. At first I was a little worried that the fragrance was too strong for me (since I tend to be sensitive to floral fragrances), but I used just a bit of the mist and it wasn’t not too overpowering. What is really great about this product is that in addition to being organic, the ingredients are simple and straightforward with only three components—purified water, organic Neroli oils and organic Jasmine oils. Some of this spray’s botanical properties include: Antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antispasmodic, aphrodisiac, as well as several others.
garden apothecary perfume
The Evening Aphrodisiac Flower Essence perfume comes in a .3 ounce roll-on and would fit perfectly in a purse or travel bag. The special blend of botanicals found in this particular perfume will customize to your particular skin scent, making it a little different for everyone. The key ingredients in this product are organic almond oil, vitamin e, organic Neroli oil, and organic Jasmine absolute oils. Some of the more botanical properties include: analgesic, anti-inflammatory and aphrodisiac.

My overall thoughts are that these are unique and interesting products that you can treat yourself with or give to someone as a gift.

Oh my goodness….the last time I soaked in any type of hot water to relax was last May in a Hot Tub, and you cannot count that as it was shared. If I had an unlimited amount of hot water, nice bathing oils or salts, candles, glass of wine and some music, I’d jump in right away.
