Earthing and Grounding Shoes by Juil
Back in late April of 2013 I underwent a full hip replacement. For over a year before my surgery I suffered with terrible hip pain that was totally ruining my life. In addition to the chronic hip pain, I had back pain, leg pain and pain in the bottom of my feet.
After I recovered from surgery I went on a mission to find better footwear to accommodate my needs. My footwear now needs to be flat, comfortable and balanced.
Let me introduce you to the company called Juil who makes wonderful footwear for men and women. The Juil footwear cleanses your body of free radicals based on the concept of earthing and grounding. All of the Juil footwear products have copper dots in their soles which act as a conduit between your body and the earth which helps you to stay connected and balanced.
For my review I was sent a complimentary pair of the Napa sandals to try out for all of you. Right now it is bitter cold and snowy here in Pennsylvania so for the past 2 weeks I have been walking around inside my home wearing these sandals. Only 3 rooms in my home have carpeting and the rest of the rooms have tiled or hardwood floors. These surfaces are hard on your back, hips, legs and feet!
The sandal feature high-quality leather uppers, two leather bands which go across the top of your foot. They have a leather liner, leather footbed and a rubber outsole. This pair of sandals has a very supportive sole and a slightly higher arch to give you great arch support. You will find 5 of the copper dots near the base of the toe area and one larger copper dot at the heel area.
When I slip my foot into these shoes my feet are in pure heaven! They are so dang comfortable that I hate taking them off when I go outside in the snow. Seriously, these are the MOST comfortable pair of sandals I have had in many years!!! The more I wear them, the more comfortable they get! I love the fabulous arch support, but the arch isn’t so high to make them uncomfortable. (trust me, arch support shoes are usually uncomfortable and these are not!).
When ordering, I do recommend that you stay true to size unless you are a 1/2 size and then you will want to size up. If you have extremely narrow feet, I would say these shoes are not for you because the vamp (straps) are not adjustable. I have a normal width foot and they fit me perfectly.
Right now they are available in two different color combinations and normally they retail for $145.00 but are currently on sale for $59.00. I think you should stock up now because Spring & Summer will be arriving in a few short months. If you live in a warmer climate, you can definitely wear them year round.
