I have known about using bamboo in home decor and kitchen items since I was a child. Living in the Far East, bamboo is a prevalent source of material that has been used for thousands of years to build homes and products. It is great for resisting moisture; it is strong and it is a fabulous renewable resource that replenishes itself more quickly than traditional wood/trees. My mom used bamboo goods and so do I so when I was able to review a neat container set from Core Bamboo, I was excited to say yes.

They use 100% organically grown bamboo plus only food safe water based adhesives and top grade natural oils are used. Even the lacquer used in the colored products comes from natural cashew trees. Every product adheres to the standards of the FDA and European equivalent. They produce beautiful, unique kitchen tools and home decor and organizations products.
I was sent a lovely Bamboo Canister Set that has a flair for the modern style. They are handcrafted in a square set of 3 of descending size. These are a smaller capacity set than what I am replacing and they are just the right size to use on the counter for a pretty display. The tallest is 6.5″ high so they easily fits under cabinets. The wood is smooth to the touch and the handles are comfortable to use and attached with screws for long lasting use.
Inside the canisters they have thoughtfully used a removable plastic insert so that you can protect the wood and the ingredients you choose to store inside. These are just right for storing your most used dry goods like cookies, sugar, coffee, tea, etc. The lids have a silicone seal around it to make sure that your food products stay fresh.
I also think these would be perfect for use in the bathroom. They are the right size for cotton balls, hair ties and ribbons, cotton swabs, combs or brushes – you name it! Remove the lid and use the small one to hold beauty brushes, toothbrushes and more. Since these are moisture resistant, they are the right choice to use in a bathroom.
