Dinner Time

My Lou is a spoiled guy, but with that being said, that does not mean he gets table scraps very often. My husband is notorious for sneaking him things under the table or giving him the left over meat. Mom on the other hand is the meanie and I give him nothing. So now when it is dinner time, Lou can usually be found staring at you in hopes that he can intimidate you enough to give you food. In today’s Wordless Wednesday post, Lou was regulated to the other room when we were eating dinner, but we could still feel those beady eyes…

Look familiar?

  1. haha Love your stories! Our animals are so funny! That’s why they are our fur babies I guess!

My cat definitely has the “starving puppy” eyes! Every time someone goes into the kitchen, he can hear it and even if he is in a deep sleep he jumps up and speeds into the kitchen. He then sits there looking up at you like he’s been starved to death!

We have two dogs: an 8 year old boxer and her now two year old son. The boxer has a very sensitive tummy and doesn’t get many scraps. Her son has a rocksolid stomach and gets leftovers pretty often ( only if they are safe for dogs of course). They both know better than to beg, but those big brown eyes are always on us.

  4. Lou looks sweet, and in that photo he’s very earnest. I know how hard it is not to give in! My Otis is now banned from the kitchen when I’m preparing food, ever since the day I was pulling the meat from a chicken and had to step away for a minute, only to come back to find all the meat gone. Thank goodness he didn’t get the bones.

I don’t find his eyes to be beady. To me he is adorable and his eyes are pleading, begging for a taste. although it is for his own good it must be hard to resist him

  6. My cat is not a beggar, she doesn’t like people food. We had a dog that could give you the ‘starving puppy’ eyes.

what a face!!! What an adorable pup you have 🙂

  8. Lou is way beyond cute! I too know that feeling of the beady eyes when you are trying to eat dinner our two dogs do the same thing. I don’t give them anything from the table because nine times out of ten it gives them a stomach problem when they eat people food, but they do get a chip or two when we have them can’t help it they are too cute and we love them too much.
