My family loves garlic. We are fortunate to live a hour from the garlic capitol of the world – Gilroy, Ca. and use fresh garlic as much as possible. So when I was asked to review a garlic cooking product, how could I say no? I was excited to be able to try out a garlic essence product from Taste of Essence.
Taste of Essence has created an amazing vegan garlic product that is fabulous to cook with. Called Garlic Essence, this pouch full of goodness is a fabulous item to keep on hand all the time! The Garlic Essence is the consistency of an aioli – which is garlic mayonnaise and comes in a pouch with a twist off top. You simply squeeze out as much as you need and stir it into your recipe or spread it on breads for a sandwich, like you would a mayonnaise.
Over the Thanksgiving holiday, I used the heck out of this product! It is so easy to add a pop of flavor with a touch of garlic aioli. I am hooked! This product is made with virgin olive oil and is a vegan recipe so anyone can use it.
I made several things with this tasty product, the first being Garlic Mashed Potatoes for the holiday. I just stirred in a few tablespoons as I was mixing it and it added a beautiful creamy flavor that we all enjoyed. I also made my famous Spinach Dip and that was boosted by the Garlic Essence too! I just replaced a tablespoon of the regular mayo with the Garlic Essence and the flavor was beautifully enhanced.
I have several other recipes in my head for the next time I make them that I will be using this garlic. My hubby makes a fabulous Fettuccine Alfredo that will taste amazing with this.. OH and garlic bread. yumm! My homemade Ranch Dressing is getting a delicious boost of Garlic Essence too! Oh, so good! What uses can you think of for this awesome sauce?
Taste of Essence has a great price point on this product and the more you buy the cheaper it gets! What cooks on your Christmas list would enjoy a specialty cooking item like this?
