TRICALM Dermatologist Recommended Anti-Itch Gel
Cold weather is here and during this time of the year my skin gets very dry and very itchy. On top of that, I suffer from a condition that causes me skin rashes and hives at least twice a month. As you can imagine, scratching & itching as become a big part of my life.
TriCalm – a new 100% steroid-free anti-itch hydrogel – is here to help. TriCalm helps fight itching caused by dry skin, eczema, bug bites, hives and more. It is dermatologist recommended and is a patented formula.
Directions for use: Adults and children two years of age and older, apply to affected area as needed or as directed by a physician. Consult a physician regarding use for children under the age of 2 years.
Coupon: Right now they have a printable $2.00 off coupon on TriCalm on their web site that you can take to CVS, Walgreens and Kerr Drug Stores.
My Thoughts: As I previously stated, I get a lot of rashes and hives that itch to no end! In the past I have had to use OTC medications and RX medications to help relieve the itching. I had never heard of TriCalm until this review and boy…I am so glad that I know about it now!
One of the things I like about the TriCalm is that it’s a hydrogel and not a messy cream that takes 20 minutes to rub & absorb into your skin. This hydrogel quickly absorbs into your skin and you can go on about your business.
I took my good old time reviewing this product because I wanted to try it several times before I reported back to you all on my experience with it. The active ingredient in this hydrogel is Aluminum Acetate which is an astringent.
Over the past few weeks as I busted out with hives or developed a rash, I simply dotted the TriCalm onto the affected area. It has no unpleasant odors and it didn’t burn or clog my pores. I have sensitive skin and had no issues with using this product.
It didn’t relieve the itching instantly (no product does) but after a few short minutes I did notice an 80 to 95% decrease in the itching I was experiencing. That is a big deal for me because I usually have to use creams, ointments and oral medications (all at the same time) to get relief.
Overall, I am really impressed with this product & definitely will be picking up another tube of TriCalm at my local CVS pharmacy.
