Good morning everyone! Well, we hit almost 70 degrees here in PA yesterday and today…I am sick. Mother Nature hasn’t made up her mind yet if we are in winter or spring. The only good thing about it being so warm & rainy here over the weekend was that all of the snow we had from those 3 storms has now melted away. I see green again! With that said, the cold front is coming through and tomorrow highs in the 30’s again.
How many of you are ready for Christmas? Is your shopping all done? Are you ready to go or do you still have some last minute things to complete? I am ready all except for finishing up my holiday baking. I have a few more things to make over the next two days to take into the nursing home when we go in for Christmas dinner with my auntie and her lady friends. I am spoiling those ladies with some great tasting food!
So sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. Being in NC I am having the same crazy weather as you. I guess I am finished and ready except for wrapping a couple of gifts and making a couple of goodies to take to my dad’s tonight. I sure hope you feel better for dinner with your auntie.
I’m all set – assuming we get our power back! Been without it since Sunday morning…uh oh!
First of all: Thank you! I won your Ethel M chocolates giveaway, and I couldn’t be happier. What a great prize!
As for the Christmas hoopla, I could only bring myself to do the bare minimum this year. I didn’t do any baking (I had planned to bake stollen today and tomorrow, but the power keeps going off and on due to an extended ice storm, and I’m afraid to start something I can’t finish). I used Amazon for gifts for out-of-state relatives, and just have to wrap a few things for local friends.
Hope you’re feeling better soon.
Sorry that you aren’t feeling well. I hope you feel better soon, and it’s nothing serious. Maybe your hubby will pamper you. 🙂
I’m thinking I should be heading north for the winter. I’m ready for some warmer weather. We have had ice, snow, more snow, and temps with wind chills below freezing. While I know a white Christmas will be beautiful when I can stay home, I still have some things to do first. Hope you enjoy your baking. I know the nursing home ladies will. 🙂
Congratulations to the 2 winners.
I am so sorry that you are sick. These changing temperatures with very warm one day and then freezing the next makes it so easy to fall ill. I hope you will be well by Christmas. I know your aunties and the ladies will love your spoiling them I have finished all my shopping, but not all my baking or wrapping.
