It is hard to believe but tomorrow is the beginning of a brand new year for those of us in the United States! On the east coast…it will be a bitter cold day with a major snow storm heading our way for Thursday and Friday. Guess we all need to start 2014 off right.
Let’s talk about New Year’s resolutions! Do you make them? Do you stick to them? Hubby and I do make them and for the most part we do stick to them.
This year we will work even harder on our weight loss goals. I lost 31 lbs. last year and he lost 39 lbs. I have another 11 lbs. to go and he wants to lose another 30 lbs. Weight loss is at the top of our resolution list this year.
In addition, we want to save more money this year and we did pretty good with that last year. This year it will be a challenge for us since Jenelle is getting married on September 6, 2014. With that said, we are determined to add another $5,000 into our savings throughout the year. Penny pinching and budgeting big time!
We also will be going back to our normal travel routine in 2014 and spending more time down at the beach house. Last year was rough with my hip surgery so we didn’t go down like we normally do. This year though, we will be spending a few weeks down at the beach house and that makes me pretty dang gone happy! Yay!
I am hoping to finally grow my nails out again. I have quit biting them in the past, but last year was just crazy on the nerves. I would also like to start walking with the dogs more and try to lose a little weight or at least start living a little healthier.

Congratulations also to you and your husband. I think you are both doing very well in your weight loss and I am sure that you and he shall continue to achieve your goals. Congratulations again on the upcoming wedding of your daughter. I am sure that there is a lot to do. I do not really make any special resolutions for the New Year. I just try to stay optimistic.
It sounds like your weight loss goals are going pretty good! And congratulations on Jenelle’s upcoming marriage – how exciting! And glad that you can go to the beach house more. (You want to invite me, right? LOL). Have a very happy and healthy new year! (((HUGS))))
