Last Minute Holiday Bargain From Rueda Wines
Just a week until Christmas and there is still a lot to do in my house! Between working, shopping, gift wrapping and all, I just know that there are people I missed on my gift list. I always pick up some additional gifts to have, just in case, and wine is a fabulous one to give. Plus finding one that is an affordable bargain and tastes great is a find! I received a bottle for review of a lovely white that would be a perfect hostess thank you gift and holiday gift.
Rueda Wines from Spain, offers a great bottle that is affordable, elegant, and enjoyable. Their Verdejo, the indigenous grape from the region of Rueda in northwest Spain, produces fantastic and affordable wines which is the perfect last minute bargain for the holiday. Golden straw-colored Verdejo wines from Rueda have crisp acidity, notes of citrus, melon and a beautiful finish.
I enjoy white and blush wines so I was pleased to be able to try this one out. Made by Palacio De Bornos, this bottle of Verdejo offers an enjoyable flavor for everyone. This wine is a bit on the drier side than what I normally drink, but it was not tart at all. It is full of the citrus fruit flavors that I like a lot and it has a really nice finish. There was no strong bite at the back of my throat. The overall taste was pleasant – not overly strong at all. I really enjoyed.
For your holiday meal, this would be a lovely addition as it will pair well with fish, fruits, cheeses, turkey and ham. I think Palacio De Bornos Verdejo is a fabulous bottle to offer to any wine lover as a holiday gift or hostess offering. And it is a wonderful bargain to boot! Look for it in your area and give it a try!
