The Hot Iron Holster was created by Erin Balogh, a mother of two. Day after day, Erin would stand in her bathroom and watch her hot curling iron slip into the sink and her flat iron fall to the floor as she tried to balance these devices on the sides and back of her pedestal sink. Having no luck finding a holder that would benefit her needs, the only holders available required a countertop or a wall for mounting, she stitched a silicone oven mitt and a hot pad together, added a pocket into the hot pad, and filled it with a bag of coins for weight. Placing the end with the hot pad inside the sink, she flipped the oven mitt over the edge, and into the mitt went her heated curing iron. The weight of the coins kept everything into place. With a creative mind, the Hot Iron Holster was born.
The Hot Iron Holster is a heat resistant, silicone pocket that holds curling irons, flat irons or hair dryers. It is made of 100% silicone and consists of two parts: A roomy pocket for holding styling tools and a flap that grips household surfaces. Combined, they provide a clever and simple solution for managing your hot styling tools and hair accessories. Specially formulated silicone clings to any smooth, non-porous surface. The surface and the Hot Iron Holster should be CLEAN and DRY for maximum grip. Press the flap onto your sink or countertop and it will firmly grip the surface. Lift up to easily remove.
I absolutely LOVE the Hot Iron Holster! I used to watch my mother cringe as my curling iron and flat iron would fall on their sides while doing my hair, burning the ceramic countertop. With the Hot Iron Holster, she no longer needs to worry. The silicone material that sticks to the countertop, keeps my flat iron or curling iron from burning. And when I am not using my curing iron or flat iron, there is a nice pocket that I can place it in. This pocket also allows my curling iron or flat iron to cool down, without burning anyone.

This is another amazing idea created by a mom who did not have the necessary tool. I think that moms can be wonderful inventors because they see and are aware of needs that others do not see.
I need a couple of these! For my dryer, my iron and my brushes and combs to keep them from scattering all over the bathroom counter. Everything would look so much neater!
It’s amazing just how crazy hot these kinds of tools can get. I have burnt myself more than once. I hate having to leave them in the sink or something to cool too. These would solve everything.
I could have used this back in the days when I used a curling iron. But that kind of silicone wasn’t even invented then. Great idea.
