Get Uncommon Customized Tech and iPhone Cases

Today I would like to introduce you to Getuncommon, which is a creative and unique web site that gives you the ability to customize cases for your iPhones, iPads, iPods and more. I recently had the opportunity to customize an iPhone case directly from this web site and not only was it easy to do, but I had a blast doing it.

To begin, you choose the GetUncommon phone case that fits your device. The products are well-made and engineered to make your devices look and feel their best. All of the cases are made from premium impact resistant polymers and are designed to display your images beautifully while protecting your precious devices. We all know how upsetting it can be to drop and damage one of these devices. Not only can it cost a lot to fix or replace, but being without it can leave many of us in the lurch without our schedules, emails, etc.

There are many options for customizing your case—you can upload a personal image (or several images) or you can choose artwork from the Uncommon Galleries. There are also ready-made cases with designs from such designers as Paul Frank, Ugly Doll, Yellena James, The Public Zoo and more. The Uncommon Configurator puts the power in your hands to position, scale and rotate your uploaded image, resulting in your own one-of-a-kind design. After you select your image, you can then use the text tool to add whatever text you would like. You can add a date, a quote or your initials.

The process of designing the case was incredibly easy. Uploading the files was very straightforward and it only took me about 15 minutes from start to finish. There were so many cool designs that I couldn’t decide at first. I chose to make an iPhone case using one of the multi-image templates offered on the site. I uploaded several pictures of my son and my dog (my boys). The design I chose features one larger photo at the top, which I thought would be a perfect place for a picture of my son getting ready to pitch in a recent baseball game. I then added two smaller photos at the bottom. One of my son on Halloween with the dog and one of my pooch by himself looking ever so adorable. I even added some text to the case. The phone case took about a week to arrive and showed up in a slick black package and was wrapped in a small see-through pouch.

Uncommon uses an exclusive 3D TATT® (Thermo-Active Transdermal Technology) printing process that transfers the ink deep into the case’s surface–much like a tattoo to ensure long-lasting vibrant designs. The case definitely looks vibrant and the top picture looks the best. Unfortunately, because my dog is all black, the photo of my son dressed up like Batman with the dog is a bit hard to see. I should have realized that wasn’t the best picture to use. My recommendation would be to use as many bright photos as possible. I also should have brightened up the text a bit or made it bigger. Probably both things that are more “user error” than anything else, but I was disappointed with how they looked, so I wanted to mention it so you don’t repeat the same mistakes that I did.

Overall, I felt that the Uncommon web site was easy to navigate and the product selection is quite impressive. It’s a great way to make your device look unique and special and it would make a very thoughtful gift for family members for sure.
