Cocoa Popcorn Crunch Recipe

JOLLY TIME Microwave Popcorn

Every year right before the holidays we host a little party here at our home for the children in the family. Every year we serve them kid-friendly foods, beverages, play games and we all sit down to watch one holiday movie together.

This year our holiday family movie night was sponsored by JOLLY TIME Popcorn and I can’t wait to tell you all about it!

JOLLY TIME Pop Corn sent us a holiday family movie night pack which included 3 boxes of JOLLY TIME Pop Corn and the new DVD Movie called “The Snowman and the Snowdog”. I had never heard of this movie so we were pretty excited to sit down and watch something new this holiday season.

I wanted to make a snack for the kids that would be appropriate for the season so I headed on over to the JOLLY TIME web site and found their recipe for Cocoa Popcorn Crunch. It is really easy to prepare and you probably have the ingredients already on hand. What I love about this recipe is that I didn’t have to fire up the oven at all. Above you can see a photo of our Cocoa Popcorn Crunch as it firms up on the baking sheet.

JOLLY TIME Microwave Popcorn

In addition to making the Cocoa Popcorn Crunch I decided to pop 3 huge bowls of JOLLY TIME Popcorn for the kids and the adults to enjoy. One of the great things about this popcorn is that almost all of the kernels pop each and every time! I love that because I really dislike having a slew of unpopped popcorn sitting in the bottom of the bag. Doesn’t it look yummy? Let me tell you…it was!

They sent along a holiday movie called “The Snowman and the Snowdog” which the entire family enjoyed…especially the kids! It is an animated movie based on the characters created by Raymond Briggs and is the brand new charming sequel to the Christmas classic, The Snowman. We highly recommend that you pick up this new DVD as we loved it!

Synopsis: When a young boy and his mother move to a new home, the boy discovers a secret box hidden under the floorboards of his bedroom. In the box, he finds a hat, scarf, some lumps of coal and a shriveled tangerine. Guess what that stuff is for? Yup, it’s a snowman making kit! Later that day it starts to snow. The boy builds a Snowman, and with the little spare snow left over, a Snowdog. That night they come to life and take him on a wonderful adventure. As dawn breaks they fly home, but before the boy returns to bed a magical surprise awaits him.

Looking to have your own family holiday movie night? Pick up some JOLLY TIME popcorn and this DVD…it’s a great way to sit down & relax this busy holiday season and enjoy some bonding time with your family!
