Make Your Own Chocolate Kit from Glee Gum

Mixing elements of chemistry with world culture and history, this delicious kit contains everything you’ll need to make 8 ounces of dark chocolate. Can be made on the stove or with a microwave – adult supervision is recommended! This product is great for class room activities, scout troops, birthday parties, home school, or after school. Makes a great gift for kids (ages 8 & up)!

First, let me say that I am not a baker. Although I LOVE to bake, I am not very good at it, and my product never seems to turn out the way that I anticipated. With the make-your-own chocolate kit, you do not need super baking skills. The directions to follow are simple and easy. I think the greatest thing about this kit, is that it is meant for kids. Kids not only learn about the history of chocolate, but they also get to make it too! Those of you who have children will love working together to make chocolate, gum, or gummies. With the holidays quickly approaching, you can create new traditions with these fun and easy kits!

With these easy directions, there is no way to mess up! The biggest advice that I can give you is to be patient. At one point in the directions, you MUST wait until the chocolate reaches 94° F using the indicator that’s provided. I was very impatient and did not wait long enough. That’s alright though, because the chocolate still turned out the way it should! I am not a fan of dark chocolate, however my boyfriend LOVES it. Since I’ve made it, he already had 3 pieces. This is a fun and educational gift to give your child for the holidays. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
