It gets crazy this time of year and I’d be a mess without my day planner and family calendar. I have to track everyone’s work, school, and activity schedules so we don’t accidentally double-book or leave a kid stranded at the bus stop. I know I’m not the only one. It’s hard to keep track without a calendar and reminders with just the four of us. And since I have to use one, I want to make sure my calendar has enough room for everything we need to track and I want like it. I like to add a little fun to everything I do, and a boring black ink on white background datebook just doesn’t cut it. Luckily there are thousands of calendars out there and Calendars has most of them. From the purse to the walls, Calendars has the perfect date keeper to suit your needs.
It was time to find my 2014 calendar when the fine folks at Calendars asked if I wanted to give them a go. With so many styles to choose from, I had a hard time deciding which one to get. Should I go with a favorite TV show or band? Should I gaze up at scenery from a county I’d like to visit? Should I go for some comedy, art, animals, or recipes? I had a really hard time deciding, so I went with Zen because I could always use a little serenity in my workday. My calendar arrived quickly along with two others with a Zen theme. It was an unexpected and pleasant surprise.
The Zen Harmony Wall Calendar ($14.99) is the one the whole family will use. It’s a beautiful 16-month calendar with Sumi-e art from painter Jan Zaremba serving as the backdrop for Lao Tzu’s words of wisdom. The date windows have room for multiple events, even if Teen Boy or hubby adds an event. It measures 11.88″ x 11.88″ when closed and 11.88″ x 23.63″ while open.
In our shared computer workstation sits a Zen Page-a-Day Desk Calendar ($12.99). It‘s perfect for a crazy workplace. Each day features wise words from The Little Zen Companion. Quotes from Satchel Page, C.S. Lewis, and others grace each page. Large windows allow plenty of room for notes and important dates. A mini meditation primer is included and if you register the purchase you’ll receive a free digital page-a-day calendar. It doesn’t take up much space; all you need is a 6” x 6” block.
Of the three I received, the Zen Pocket Planner ($3.99) will likely get the most use. It’s the perfect size for carrying around in my purse or gym bag. I make note of everything from meetings and birthdays to special promotion dates and movie premieres. It is a smaller calendar, but each date has enough room for at least two appointments when written in shorthand. Because it’s just mine, I don’t have to worry about deciphering someone else’s notes or writing so someone else can understand mine. Besides, they can write on the desk or wall calendar.
Calendars offers wall, desk, and pocket calendars in various sizes and styles. Put a puppies or kittens on your wall or desk for a dose of cuteness. Go hardcore organizer with a dry ease or large grid home organizing calendar. Customize one with pictures of family, friends, pets, or your car if that‘s your thing. Not really looking for a calendar? No problem. Calendars stocks puzzles, books, and games. Including the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Monopoly Game in case you’re wondering what I want for Christmas. Shipping is quick and you can get free shipping on orders of $15 or more for subscribing to their special offers emails.

I use calendars every day and have them in different rooms in the house so that I have one on hand when needed. I find a calendar to be a necessary tool for organization. These Zen calendars sound restful and are pretty to gaze upon.
I love calenders ~ I would totally lost without them. I cannot use an online one…I like to be able to see them all the time. This is the first year I have let it slip up on me and haven’t gotten one yet. Eek! Yours here are very nice. I think I have no choice, I will order one from them!
I would be lost if I didn’t have my calendars. I love Thomas Kincaid ” Painter of Light” and Lowell Herraro “American Cat” calendars.
These are beautiful and thanks for the reminder to get a nice calendar. I usually have one by now and at least one freebie but the New Year is coming too fast this year, lol. They really do help me be more organized and are pretty on the wall too.
We use them every year to get calendars for my son and his family. They offer options for the whole family including my grand kids. They have landscapes, planners, characters, sports, trivia….all kinds and sizes. They often offer deals, too. Plus, this year I learned they have games too. I was able to get my grandson a Super Mario calendar and trouble game.
