Misty Morning on the Rocky Oregon Coast

December 31, 2013 by Classystaff

I love the water and any time I can get to the ocean or lake, I am there. This past summer, I spent several days in Oregon just over the border of California in a small town there. The coast line is rocky and so different from other areas of the coast. Plus with the morning, comes plenty of mist and fog.

This picture was taken just across from where I was staying in the morning. It was so quiet and peaceful and cold! I forget how that dampness can go right through you. I cannot wait to go back again!

A truly beautiful photo, evoking the feelings of quiet and peace in me. I can see why you would want to return there as soon as possible. This photo would also make a beautiful painting.

What a gorgeous picture! Reminds me of several places in Ireland as well.

My first impression of your picture: Oooo.
Simply lovely. I haven’t been at an ocean often enough to have see fog like this.

Beautiful, simply beautiful. I live on a bay on the East Coast, and I love the fog. This morning we had sea smoke on the water, which happens when the air is very cold, around 0 or below. Watching the changes with the seasons–or even with the time of day–is one of my greatest pleasures.
