Good morning everyone! How was your weekend? Did you go out and do anything fun or exciting? The only place we went was to the doctor’s office and to the pharmacy. Hubby and I are both sick and still sick today. He seems to finally be starting to turn around but I seem to be getting worse. Damn bronchitis, sinusitis and the flu got us. ugh!
Today’s Topic: Over the weekend I realized (yes after 30 years) that hubby and I each have different preferences when it comes to our everyday drinkware. For drinking cold beverages I always use one of the dozen or so insulated tumbler cups here in our home. I prefer them b/c they don’t break and they keep my drinks cold for hours on end. Hubby on the other hand won’t drink from any type of plastic cup. He has to have his beverage in a glass when drinking something cold. So, I would love to know what your preference is when it comes to drinking cold beverages?
We had a few giveaways close late last night so we do have winners to announce this morning. As always, we spend time every morning validating entries, trashing out the cheater entries and then randomly select a winner using random.org. We then double check that persons entry to make sure it’s legit and then finalize it.
Winner for the Old El Paso Giveaway is: Jennifer T.
Winner for the Energizer Home Safety Kit is: ???
Both winners have already been contacted via email and we are waiting for them to confirm. Have a great Monday!

It has to be glass for my husband and I.
Congratulation to the winners – the question marks seem strange, but perhaps the person wants to be anonymous.
I prefer cold beverages in a glass or a ceramic mug. I prefer the feel of these to the plastic, and with the mug I can switch over to hot without switching the utensil.
LOL ~ we are exactly the same when it comes to this. I don’t like to drink cold beverages from glass because of the condensation. Makes me nuts! So I too drink out of the plastic (gasp) insulated glasses. I use the Tervis ones because they do great in the dishwasher. Hubby will not use plastic anything, glasses, plates or utensils.
PS: congrats winners
hahaha! glad to see that there is another household out there like ours!
By principle, unless the cup is recycled and BPA-free, you won’t find plastic cups in my house!
You know I haven’t thought much about it, but I do prefer glass or ceramic mugs with cold and hot beverages. No matter how safe they tell me cups are, I still think somehow the plastic is leaching into my beverage, lol. I like the smooth feeling of the glass material too.
