Professional Sporting Events

Good morning everyone! Happy November 1st! The countdown for the holidays has officially begun for many of us! Every store I go into now has Christmas stuff every where and if you look at the store circulars in the Sunday newspaper, all of them are hosting pre-holiday sales! Wow, this year really flew by!

Today’s Topic: How many of you enjoy going to professional sporting events? If you do enjoy going, which ones do you enjoy going to? Hubby is a big PENN STATE football fan so he likes to attend a few home games every season. He is also a big Washington Redskins fan and goes to 2 home games a year to see them play. Personally, I am a NBA girl and when the Phoenix Suns come into Philly to play the Sixers…I always go to see my beloved Suns play. I like going to professional sporting events but frankly, I would rather watch them from home because parking is nuts, travel time is ridiculous and a lot of times the drunk fans get on my nerves.

We had a few giveaways close late last night so we do have winners to announce this morning. As always, we spend time every morning validating entries, trashing out the cheater entries and then randomly select a winner using random.org. We then double check that persons entry to make sure it’s legit and then finalize it.

Winner Get Grounded Sandals: Sherry Compton
Winner Scunci Hair Accessory: friederike graedener

Congratulations to our winners! Today is Friday but make sure you check our blog on/off all weekend long as we will be publishing several new reviews & GIVEAWAYS (hint, hint, hint) for all of you this weekend! Have a great Friday and an even better weekend!

  1. I love going to sporting events. My sweetie and I used to go to an NBA game every year…we probably have gone 10 out of 15 years we’ve been together. We got to local baseball games (the minor league) and we plan on seeing Yankee Stadium soon – just haven’t gotten around to it. We went to an NFL preseason game and we were in Row 2 and got to see everything up close. It was really cool! We also went to see Ali and Frazier’s daughters fight…Leila Ali fought someone else and so did Frazier’s daughter. It was on my birthday…and I went to the fights on crutches in heavy snow. We’ve gone to other amateur boxing before. So yeah…I like going to sporting events because it always involves traveling. I’ve gone to a hockey game before, and my sweetie has been to wrestling matches and a Major League baseball game before.

About expensive tickets, I have gotten the best deals using Stub Hub. We got those second row football seats from Stub Hub and nicely priced NBA tickets too.

    Congratulations to the 2 winners.
The only sports I watch are tennis and baseball, but usually that is from home because (as you state) it is such a pain to travel there, find parking, and deal with rambunctious fans. Maybe once a year we will go to a baseball game. The other problem is the expense of the tickets.

  3. Congrats to the winners!
I’m not into watching sports of any kind. I keep up on what’s happening in order to have conversations with people I know who are sports fanatics.
