When you think of homemade fudge, you typically think of a fudge that contains some type of chocolate and a whole lot of sweeteners. This is not the case with this fudge recipe which utilizes two different types of cheeses.
Homemade Jalapeno Fudge Recipe
1 (8 oz.) bag shredded cheddar cheese
1 (8 oz.) bag shredded Monterey cheese
2 large eggs
1/2 cup + 1 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 can evaporated milk (not sweetened condensed milk)
1 tbsp. granulated sugar
1 cup chopped jalapeno’s
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a small bowl, combine together the shredded cheddar cheese & the Monterey cheese until well combined. Pour the cheese into the bottom of an 8″ by 8″ glass baking dish. (brownie style baking dish).
Chop jalapeno’s and measure out 1 cup of peppers and place them in a single layer on top of the cheese in the baking dish. Whisk together the large eggs, all-purpose flour and granulated sugar. Pour this mixture on top.
Place baking dish into a preheated 350 degree oven and bake for 25 to 28 minutes or until done. About halfway through the baking process, check on your fudge. If the top is getting too dark, reduce oven temperature to 325 degrees F.
Remove from oven and let cool. Cut into squares and store in an airtight container.

I like seasoned food but not hot spicy foods but my Mother loves hot spicy foods which is the reason this post caught my attention. I may try this for her and see how it turns out.
I never thought about making fudge with cheese. It is certainly different. We do not like things hot or very spicy, so I would not use jalapeno peppers. I might try regular bell peppers roasted in advance.
I’d go for some lower fat ingredients to lighten it up, but I do that with all my recipes anyway. I love jalapeno peppers so would love to try this. A miss pin recipe that I will tweak so thanks!
Did you actually make this? What’s it like? I’m intrigued, but not enough to spend the money on the ingredients just to try it out. Still, I’m very curious. Fudge, made with cheese–a whole pound of it!–and eggs and jalapenos. I just can’t wrap my head around it!
I have never heard of this! It looks yummy and simple to make. I will have to try it out soon. Thank you for sharing!
I heard of this he first time last year when I went to a local homemade fudge shop to buy amaretto. Theirs did use chocolate though so this will be different. I love fudge and jalapeños. I’m interested in trying. Is it better as an afternoon snack or side to a meal?
I do not think that I can have jalapeno in my fudge. But it might be a delicious experience that I might like if I tried it. This is really a different fudge recipe and would really spice up the Holidays!
I think I will try this for Christmas when my daughter comes home. We like to try a new recipe every year.
That spicy fudge must taste good!
fudge: a soft creamy candy made typically of sugar, milk, butter, and flavoring
How come you call this fudge? Might be interesting, but not fudge to me.
OK – this sounds really interesting…I may have to show this recipe to my Dad. This is something that he would make.
I have never heard of this before but now I am curious to try it thanks for sharing this one and have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day.
