Get Healthy With DDP Yoga Program and Gaiam Products
I always was hesitant to try yoga, mostly because I assumed it was only something to relax someone, like a form of mediation. I realized quickly when actually trying yoga, that ‘relaxing’ is only a part of it! It is a great form of exercise due to its low (or almost no) impact. I was very thrilled to have been sent DDP Yoga to review! WOW, throughout my trial of these workouts, I knew this wasn’t regular yoga. As DDP (Diamond Dallas Page) says himself, “It AIN’T your Mama’s yoga!” There is no chanting, but you might end up swearing!
Before I even tried anything, I already knew this was going to be an effective program. Why? It wasn’t just DVD’s and I was on my own to do the workouts whenever. There was a thick, almost 50 pages of a program guide, with FOUR DVDs! The guide has a DDP Yoga Fitness Guide, and also a DDP Yoga Nutrition Guide. Just reading the introduction, I felt like DDP himself was speaking to me. It spoke to me as if I had my own personal trainer, without him being there literally. There was even a 13-Week workout grid, with different methods if you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced!
Another thing that showed me that this was going to be a lifestyle change and not just DVDs to collect dust on the shelf was looking at the nutrition guide. It showed what to avoid, what kinds of things to eat, and even recipes to try! The program guide even had food journal for the 13-week, so I could be true to myself on what I really ate throughout the day. (I enjoy working out—my biggest problem is my diet!) Lastly, it has a progress journal where I could put my measurements to see the actual changes.
The workouts were great. There are so many! I received four DVDs, with each one having several workouts on it. Even though my problem areas are pretty much ALL OVER, the main problem is my midsection. So, my favorite one to focus on is the workout called Red Hot Core. It is only 15 minutes! My other favorite, called Below the Belt, which focuses on holding back the hands of time on the butt and thighs. The Double Black Diamond is definitely toughest!
DDP Yoga began from a need, a need that Diamond Dallas Page required to change his life, to OWN his life. He began a professional wrestling career at the age of 35, and by 42, he was living the dream headlining in one main event after another. In 1998, he ruptured his L4/L5 disc very badly in a wrestling match. It was so bad he could not bend over, sit down, or walk, and his rehab didn’t seem to help. He started doing yoga at his wife’s persistence. Bit by bit, he progressed. He added his own elements, Dynamic Resistance, and continued to get stronger. At 43, he was awarded Heavyweight Champion of the World THREE times! At 55 years young, he has DDP Yoga as part of his lifestyle, as well as his passion and calling. You can stop by the DDP Yoga website for more inspirational stories of success. You may have even seen some of the commercials from their success stories.
I will continue with the DDP Yoga program. I really feel like these workouts are so effective. I feel more flexible, better throughout the day, and stronger. Since it is a 13-week program, I still have a while before I finish. But like Diamond Dallas Page says, “It is up to you. Yes, of course ‘results may vary’! You get out of it what you put in!” I have always had issues with my diet.
