Organic Frozen Burritos from PJ’s Organics

Organic Frozen Burritos from PJ's Organics

We love Mexican cuisine and eat Mexican food at least twice a week, every week! The majority of the time I make our breakfast, lunch and dinner from scratch but there are times during those busy weekdays & weeknights where I rely on frozen foods to get us through our hectic week.

Recently I was introduced to the company called PJ’s Organics who makes a line of organic frozen burritos. You can find breakfast varieties and varieties that would be perfect for lunch or dinner.  All of the PJ’s Organics products are certified USDA organic and are hand-rolled using authentic ingredients.

The company sent us several of their frozen organic burritos to try out for all of you and let me tell you, they arrived at the perfect time! It had been a few days since I had made something Mexican and the family was craving it.

Organic Frozen Burritos from PJ's Organics

For breakfast the one day I made the PJ’s Organics Skinny Breakfast Burritos. These burritos are lower in fat than traditional breakfast burritos and are about 310 calories per serving. We decided to pop ours into the microwave since we were short on time and within 4 minutes we were enjoying a hot breakfast burrito. I was afraid they would be too spicy for us but both of us were pleasantly surprised that they weren’t overly spicy and had a wonderful texture & flavor to them. They weren’t soggy or hard like some foods when you microwave them.

The following day we made 2 more of the PJ’s Organics Burritos but we made them for lunch. We choose the Organic Chicken & Cheese with Green Chiles and again, we prepared them in the microwave oven. When microwaving them, remove them from the plastic wrapper and roll them into a paper towel. By doing this, you will get perfect cooking results. These were a tad more spicier than the breakfast burritos but still delicious. Matter of fact, hubby has added them to our grocery store list.

We are very pleased with the organic frozen burritos that we received from PJ’s Organics and would NOT hesitate in purchasing these products. Like I said, they are already on our grocery store list. We loved the combination of flavors, the texture and they prepare very nicely in your microwave oven. We give them a big 2-thumbs up!

The Skinny Burritos sound so good. I will have to look for this brand. Burritos aren’t easy to take for lunch unless they’re pre-made like this. I like to make my own but would try these since they’re organic.

I would probably try the breakfast burrito those sound good but there is something about chicken in a burrito that isnt too appealing ( same as chicken on a pizza) I know odd but it doesnt belong there for me. Hubby will eat microwaved burritos in any form though!

Never heard of this brand but will have to check it out. We love Mexican….burritos, enchiladas, tacos, chile rellenos…All of it is amazing! I like peppers and some spice and lots of cheese. Love that you can get a cheese and green chile. It’s great that these worked well in the microwave. Put together a couple quick sides like beans and rice and you have a wonderful Mexican meal. Maybe even add a margarita. 🙂

The photo of your burrito make me want to buy and eat it, especially the breakfast one since I do not eat much spicy food.
