Decorating Your Shrubs and Trees with Holiday Lights
Over the past couple of weeks I have been blogging here on our Two Classy Chics blog about all of the outdoor holiday decorations and holiday lights that hubby and I have been working on. You can find my previous posts right here on our blog by using our blog search function and looking up the keyword the Yard Outlet.
The YardOutlet has quickly become our go-to store for outdoor holiday lighting. They sell all kinds a fantastic products like lit holiday wreaths, pre-lit artificial holiday pine swags, holiday lights for your roof, trees, bushes and shrubs…along with just about anything else you would need to spruce up your outdoor spaces this holiday season.

For this post I wanted to talk to you all about how easy it is to add holiday lights to your bushes and shrubs around the perimeter of your home. You will need to purchase some outdoor holiday lights and some extension cords that are made specifically for outdoor use.
The Yard Outlet sent us several strings of holiday lights in red and in green so that we could decorate our shrubs that we have outside the front of our home. The ones that we received for the review were:
* 45602R-B – Red 5MM 70 LED Holiday Lights, 4″ Spacing
* 45614R-B – Green 5MM 70 LED Holiday Lights, 4″ Spacing
You can see them in our photographs wrapped around our shrubs and our outdoor lamp post features red holiday lights too.
The wire color is green on these holiday lights so they are perfect for wrapping around your shrubs, bushes and trees. During the daylight hours you can barely see them which I really like! Each string comes with 70 LED 5mm lights (bulbs) which are super bright at night. Each string measures 23 1/3 feet in length. These bulbs are weather resistant and will not break, so you can leave them out all of the time!
Not interested in decorating your shrubs? Check out this photo courtesy of the Yard Outlet and see how gorgeous those green lights look on a tree! Oh my gosh, breathtaking! Your neighbors would be super jealous for sure!
I was really impressed at how quickly and easily you can decorate your bushes and shrubs. Hubby spent about an hour wrapping the lights around our shrubs and we did quite a lot of them. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to do this at all. Once they are around your shrubs, tuck them in a little bit, connect them to your extension cord and you are ready to rock & roll.

Like I said previously, you can barely see those lights wrapped around the shrubs which makes me super happy! In addition, we had a 48 hour freezing rain and 45 mph wind storm and those lights held up beautifully! Not a single light got broken and they are just perfect!

Over the next two weeks I will be sharing more photos and information with you on how we decorated our house with holiday lights, wreaths and swags from the Yard Outlet! Stay tuned for those posts to give you all some great ideas on how you can do it too!
